Secondary psychological tests rely on accessing patients subconscious reactions and basic knee jerk reactions. Both of which is pretty hard if the patient knows the way test goes. Surely it's an unlikely scenario for Breivik to be an evil genius that can beat the system but i am of the opinion that why risk it. And also your faith in "experts" is unfounded. US market was run by "experts." Chernobyl, Fukushima were handled by "experts" post crisis. Seriously, you watch too many movies. There will be no 'tests', rehabilitation is a progress over a very long time(in this case 21 years) closely monitored by neurologists, psychologists and god-knows-what-ists. Certain tests might occur during the period but only to complement the results from years and years of talks and observation. When they're done with him they'll know what he thinks before he does. That you speak of tests he may or may not beat just show that you don't understand the Scandinavian penal system.

He did, he was not granted permission. It was some sort of temple knight uniform that "his order" are supposed to have. I think it's described in the manifest.

1441: Judge said the prosecution had requested complete isolation due to the risk of loss of evidence and because of the "extent and the character" of this case. So Mr Breivik will be in complete isolation until 22 August, meaning he will not be able to receive letters or visits, or use media. 1437: Judge: Police to investigate Mr Breivik's claim that there are two more cells in his organisation. 1435: Mr Breivik quoted by judge: Norwegian Labour Party was guilty of "mass import" of Muslims. 1432: Mr Breivik quoted by judge: Labour Party had to pay price of treason, Muslims were out to colonise the country. 1431: Judge says Mr Breivik said he wanted to send out a "sharp signal", accused ruling Labour Party of failing Norway. 1430: Judge continues: Mr Breivik has not pleaded guilty, argued he wanted to save Norway and western Europe from "cultural Marxism". 1428: Judge clarifies: Mr Breivik remanded in custody for eight weeks, four of them in complete isolation. From the BBC.

Wow. Did you even read anything about him? He's against National Socialism, and is pro-Israel. He's pro-Israel is because he thinks Israel is anti-Muslim. He's also against National Socialism while talking just like a National Socialist except he's replaced "Jews" with "Muslims." Well okay you can believe whatever you want. Wow is right.

A journalist just asked the official, he said he personally didn't see him but the judge didn't allow for uniform in the court....so, no. Anyway, I like what they're doing, isolating him for the coming weeks, not showing him at all. The faster his sorry face is forgotten and the less we hear of him in the future, the better. Let him start getting bored to death in his cell as soon as possible.

If I got it correcty I'm not sure if anyone is a lawyer in Norway, but trials can take up to a year to start. Does that mean that the accused could be walking the streets again before his trial begins?

It's probably silly but that makes me glad. Making that request means he probably believed they would give him any slack after what he did, just another sign of how delusional he must be. I hope the judge denial came as a slap in the face.

That's all in the article, so you should try reading it more carefully I read the norwegian entry which said nothing about 138 killed. He was tried and convicted for 22 murders, with a suspected 27 murders total. Serial killers very often inflate the number they have killed for various reasons, true or not, and people fascinated by the "mythos" of serial killers propagate this number until it becomes "fact" in things like wikipedia articles. A person can only be tried, convicted and sentenced according to known facts. We have a lot more facts about Breivik than we ever had about Arnfinn Nesset, and he will be tried accordingly.

Actually death would be too easy, maybe some waterboarding each day until the rest of his life would suit him better. And a solitary for the rest of the time. And maybe some flaying Bolton style. What would this achieve, satisfy some revenge instincts? I can understand the desire for it still acting barbarian yourself will not undo what he did. What he did cannot be undone. Just lock him away so that he isn't a danger to anyone anymore.
