Other than that, I bought the New High Contrast album today. It has a really unique sound, vocal heavy and deep. Kind of Liquid. If you want to give it a try: I love it, I also saw him live. Mad skillz. Check it out.

Here's a couple of mixes for a competition I was in recently - so obviously fast mixing etc. The recordings are from practice sessions, but I hit the same cues tightly on the night. Three decks etc. http://soundcloud.com/drop271/heavyweights-of-bass-round-1 http://soundcloud.com/drop271/heavyweights-of-bass-final

One of my absolute favorites right now, Netsky's music is so damn powerful and yet beautiful .. love it :D Does anybody more of this kind of music? Something that really gives the feeling of freedom and piece ... (Please don't suggest Netsky, I already know pretty much all the songs he made ;P) Hopefully I'm not the only one, who feels like that about this music >_<

Otherwise, check out D-Kay/ILL Skillz stuff as it incorporates many similar sounds. Shapeshifter as well. Trei too. Even Influx UK and a few tunes on Formation Records carry the same vibe. edit: oh and Matrix & Futurebound. If you like Netsky then you'll be massive on them :D :D

Haha yeah this is true. Does seem to be the dominant theme amongst liquidians. Some classics you should check out if you like that style from the last time that sort of style was big in the early 00s (sorry no youtube links as at work but you should be able to find them): John B - Up All Night Concord Dawn - Morning Light/Take Me Away John B - Forever rmx/Run Out of Time Sunchase - Remember Me Paul B - Solar Unreal Raiden - Fallin

di.fm baby And this gem sure as hell got me through my last exam period (dancing like mad at my desk at all hours) 7:30 onwards basically 27min 39min (when some Zero 7 came on it was all OMG for me) - 53min if you've listened this far, may as well DL the mp3 (detrul.com) and enjoy through your kindle, as you speed-cube on the bus. EDIT: oh and this is NAICE

![]() I'm trying to find tracks/artists which have a downtempo feel but with a bpm closer to straight DnB (I might be describing atmospheric or intelligent DnB), any suggestions?

Thanks for all the awesome suggestions! I didn't even know that Camo & Krooked are under Hospital Records, despite knowing them for ages already (like basically everyone in Austria who listens to DnB ...) And bITt.mAN thank you for the mixes, I already knew the BBC Essential since I randomly fell into the Essential Mix Thread (freakin' sweet :D) but the Hospital Continuous sounds nice :D Oh, and just because it's awesome: (Don't know really if it's DnB, hard to tell for someone who listens to basically every genre, that exists on this earth)
