Since they don't fill up as much space with percussive elements it feels slower, but if you count it's definitely up there around 170 bpm. The two main proponents are dBridge and Instra:mental, working through non-plus records. The name "autonomic" stems from their podcast of the same name. They also released an excellent mix cd for fabriclive. Since then they (in particular instra:mental and the label non-plus) have branched out into other dance genres like techno and house. Other artists still representing this sound are ASC and Consequence. Some songs: + Show Spoiler [ASC--Porcelain] + + Show Spoiler [dBridge, Instra:mental and Skream--Ref…] + + Show Spoiler [dBridge--I Know] + Pretty sure this one's unreleased--this is a rip from an autonomic podcast + Show Spoiler [Distance--Sky's Alight] + + Show Spoiler [Genotype - Distorted Dreams / Meleka G…] + + Show Spoiler [Instra:mental--User] + One of their techno/electro releases from their album All in all I really recommend their mix for fabric--lots of these tracks are taken from that mix. I'm not really into the scene so I don't know too much but it's definitely exciting music. Check it out:FabricLive 50: dBridge and Instra:mental present Autonomic

Now that I did some research, I am really glad that you posted some. Also, most of his songs are free to download (youtube discription by the artist himself) so thanks! I know that a lot of people think that no one ever listens to this thread here, but I also know that a lot of people actually do care. And to this thread is so full of good music ![]() <3 TL! The dubstep influence is clear - but we're talking the likes of Burial, Scuba, Distance etc and not Skrillex. Hell, Scuba and Distance even released on Exit, while Instra:mental appeared on Rinse FM (pre their switch away from drum n bass). As for slowly dying, I tend to disagree. Look at Consequence's new album, Exit's consistent releases and the fact that Dub Phizix tune Marka is probably the biggest drum n bass tune since LK (and arguably a product of the 'autonomic' sound)

The latest release that i would define as autonomic is probably the latest synkro on exit ( progression / remix ) which dates back to 2010 or early 11 ) or june miller's ep on horizons which "autonomicy" remixes are also rather old. There are lp or 2 worth of instramental stuff in vaults which will very likely never see a release and dont get played out much. guess its just dying for me now that I think about it, there are tons of forthcoming shit that the public just doesn't know about. guess New Zealand should be proud providing the autonomic world with consequence and FIS who's hot as fuck atm. mosaic 2 in works as well so guess theres some good stuff coming after all.
