I've recently started playing around with producing. my first track; https://soundcloud.com/sedzz/adventure-time and recently just finished number two; https://soundcloud.com/sedzz/voices if anyone has listened to hazard, you can kinda see i'm influenced by him, still have a long way to go as far as producing is concerned, but i feel my second track is along the lines of what i want to create in future ^_^ I've also got another dnb mix in the works, just gotta get round to recording it. also lately, been listening to a ton of Audio, this guy has insane production EDIT: Just finished my second drum and bass mix. https://soundcloud.com/sedzz/welcome-to-2015-dnb-mix | ||

Then in 1995 a seminal album landed. It was such a fresh sound, something so totally new hit the shelves that announced to the world that drum and bass had grown up. If music can span generations, then this piece is it. If you like drum and bass but don't own this, then you're a bad person period. This is the full length 20 minute version. The Earl Grey one I'd heard, but never knew the name, who'd of thought I'd of found out from an Aussie posting to an American gaming site  Scottie, lovely tune, would definitely have to go in a short list for 'best of' from this era, it was actually pressed on yellow vinyl.I have to ask iPlaY.NettleS, if you grew up with these earlier hardcore / dnb tracks or if you found them somehow later down the line? I'm really curious to learn how this early dnb sound spread to other countries, did you for example get vinyl imports from Europe or USA? Anyhoo, Cloud 9 was another alias of Nookie, who undeniably was at the edge of this sound. This was from Volume 3. + Show Spoiler + --- Here's one by The Brothers Grimm called Exodus. --- D Livin - Why --- Here's one by Goldie, this time remixing a tune by Deep Blue. There were 3 odd releases on a slice of 10" vinyl. This was by far the best. And the original deep blue track. --- Foul Play released some blinding dnb back in the day - with a strong ambient streak. I recall reading that they stopped releasing stuff as one of the crew died (in a car crash I think). Great shame. This is a remix of theirs by Omni Trio, if you like the early ambient sound, I'd strongly recommend you checking out his stuff, he's released about 6ish albums I think. --- 4 horsemen of the apocalypse - drowning in her --- This one by Intense is sublime. The beats.. Hmmm.. kinda sound chopped up a little... You'll have to trust me and wait for the break. We are the music makers! As I was looking for this on youtube, I saw that Earl Grey released a track on this very piece of vinyl. Sadly never owned it myself  | ||

Anyway i have been posting on backtotheoldskool.co.uk forums since 2002, also have my own soundcloud with some of my own work in that older 1990-1992 style here https://soundcloud.com/greenberg , free downloads there if you appreciate any of the tracks. Strangely while i seem to be making a number of that style tracks i don't listen to it as much anymore, i have been buying plenty of acid techno the past couple years.Been a really good couple years for vinyl releases with the acid techno. | ||
