True that!
Also, I ate raw clamshells.. By mistake.. I thought they were roasted allready.. Wasn't so bad till I hit the bathroom.. And frog legs are really tasty, btw!
Mustard Ice Cream. And that's exactly what the name says, an ice cream... that tastes mustard... No flavouring, definitely home-made (was in a very famous French restaurant). Fortunately, it was part of a bigger dish but it was really really weird Did not liked it tbh.

Yes of course, I'm talking about people who eat what their supermarket sells, guess that's pretty much an urban western thing

Also eaten caramelized scorpion, but that wasnt really that bad. To me it's only really bad when the stuff you're eating is still alive :S Unless it's genitalia, i could never get myself to each that.
Funny story...
I grew up in Zaire (now the Democratic Rep. of Congo). The two weirdest things I ate were: + Show Spoiler +
termites - not the little white ones, the "warrior" ones with the big crunchy head and sharp pinchers (ate them both raw and cooked). Also related, flying ants - the same termite family (both cooked and raw)
When I travelled around Southeast Asia I would always catch the night bus from town to town, it was way cooler in the evening and I would just sleep all night and wake up at my destination. Sometimes these busses would stop in the middle of the night at a market. Its weird you wake up and you dont really know where you are but they are herding you like cattle into this store where theres usually food/goods and a place you can go bio.
Me and my buddy would usually eat at these places and some of them had some weird ass things. I really dont know what half of it was that I was eating. I didnt want to know in most cases. Anyway the grossest thing I ate was some kind of intestines. We thought it was noodle soup but it was this weird chewy stringy texture. Im sure a lot of you have eaten weirder or grosser but it was a shock to me.

I've eaten all of these plus stuff like warthog. Ostrich tastes nothing like chicken. It is very very lean and high in protein. It's being touted here as a pretty healthy meat these days. Crocodile was by far the most disappointing. The stuff I had was quite fatty and the fat tastes pretty gross.
I've eaten lots of gamey stuff but never really got into the weird things. China is apparently big on odd food, they eat so many little birds and guts and stuff it wouldn't surpise me if they threw the traditional meat away so they could focus on the eyeballs and nostrils and stuff.
I tried this once, I'm sure its not really considered that weird but it was an expirience.
I've eaten alot of different kinds of meat, people I know from northern Canada regularly eat stuff like moose, wolf, bear all of which tastes relatively similar so that's not weird at all to me but I'm not sure that its available alot of places.
One thing I don't think I could stomach is insects, I've had cricket and that was far enough along the insect eating road for me...
Other weird things I have eaten are Crocodile and ostrich. Both were ok but nothing too magnificent. Dont like it to fry a living fish but on the other hand it is nothing different than coocking lobster
Those eggs with live chicks inside are disgusting. Can never eat that stuff even though I've tried. The weirdest stuff I've eaten was probably rat. Snails aren't really weird cause they're more or less like clams but I've eaten tons of those. Frogs too.
I've eaten so many weird things that I don't even know where to start. I've begun to live by the rule that if it's tasty, I'm not going to ask what it is, as chances are that it would most likely ruin the dish for me...
So the weirdest thing I didn't like was, and I'm not quite sure, something like the pigs omentus major - the chinese people I was with couldn't quite explain to me what it was. But it was VERY rubbery and basicly tasted like chewing in a rubberband...

So true. Most things are really just looking weird. If you think about what it really is, most of the time you come to the conclusion that it's not that weird at all.
