I've had alligator, which I assume tastes similar to crocodile. It really was delicious. It tasted like chewy, fatty, fried chicken, but much more dense.
I didn't like pig intestines when cooked with Chinese cuisine. Love them in dinuguan, though.
I'm amazed that cow tongue, among other stuff, is considered weird by some people. It's pretty common in both Western and Asian dishes. I see lengua in many places.

i live in florida ive eaten frog legs, crocodile, turtle, snake. the frog legs were okay..i didnt really like it. same with crocodile, the taste wasnt very appealing to me but maybe it was the way the restaurant prepared it since i had both from the same place.
the turtle, my next door neighbor cooked it and it was AMAZING! seriously, snake taste fucking delicious. As for the turtle, well i was little and dont remember liking it, but id have to try it again
im also from colombia so maybe things that are typical for me might be weird for others. Blood sausage (morsilla in spanish) is delicious! its made with rice stuffed in it and its very good.
also, ive eaten chunchurria, its basically intestines, i dont know what animal though. maybe the chicken? it has a very distinct taste and some people dont like it, i like it alot however.
My mom used to be a social worker in colombia, (VERY different from social work here in the states) and she worked with a group of indians in colombia so she had to live with them and such. Anyways, she ate monkey, rabbit, snake, and she told me she ate something that resembled a large rat, but she doesn't recall the name.
ive eatenlots of sushi and whatever it is they stuff in it, lol half the time i eat sushi i eat alot of things that i have no idea what they are but its all delicious. looking forward to trying out rabbit though. and i wanna try caviar just to get it out of the way.

That's probably because it's not common anymore, it's the same with any part of cows or pigs that's not good meat, people don't eat that because it's not necessary anymore. A hundred (or less) years ago it was absolutely commonplace to use every part of an animal you slaughtered, like making sausage from the blood, soup from the bones etc.

I've never had that dish with intestines. I love sucking the bone marrow out, though. It's usually a contest between me and my brother to see who would get it first.
The intestines I've had were in Sichuan cuisine with the spicy sauce. I guess it's because I don't like the texture unless its finely chopped like in dinuguan.

Could it be an urban Western thing? The "not good meat" makes some of the best dishes. I'm more familiar with various Asian cuisines, though. And I think pig bones in particular, is still widely used in ramen.
Well, discounting the strange factor that is having eaten MRE's (3 lies for the price of one.), I've had goat tacos in Mexico, some sort of really lean red meat in Iraq that definitely wasn't beef, and a custard pie with no sugar in it, courtesy my sister being an abysmal cook. That last may have been the strangest.
Besides the types of animals, which isn't all that weird imo, I think the weirdest food I've ever had is sweetbread. The texture and flavor is really unlike anything else I've had (despite the fried chicken look it has haha).
Another weird texture is blood sausage, but that's delicious if you can get past the fact you're eating coagulated blood.
I think the weirdest food I've eaten would have to be bull testicles, though I guess it's a pretty common tapas dish. Other than that I've had fried grasshoppers, crocodile, foie gras (not really weird) and springbok.
Durians. Not exotic in our region, but infamous to the West nonetheless. I never understood why people could find it smelly. Personally I think it smells pretty good.
Is there actually a point to cooking something alive? I don't get it. It couldn't possibly be any different to kill it and then immediately cook it? Why the added cruelty?
Sorry if the answer is in the video, didn't watch it because I don't want to see that.

My friend has tried fresh octopus once. He told me that it was really good and I'd probably enjoy it. He's also eaten spiders on several different occasions. He says that they don't taste to bad you just have to not think about what you're actually putting into your mouth. That being said I would probably eat a spider if it was cooked and didn't look to spidery XD
Fresh octopus is awesome. I went to some little mob village in sicily where it was one of the featured meals in the fish market. So so good.
I tried all sorts of weird tapas in spain. I wimped on Ox tail soup or any of thse crazy bull nut dishes.
/regrets
sea urchin is pretty good too, though I didn't have it fresh. It was part of some pasta dish and some other things
Not really much to write home about. Around my homeplace sheep head is kind of a tradiitional christmas dish, eyes and all. Would be the strangest thing i suppose.

Thats like A4.
Cow tongue is basically a muscle, like much else good meat:
I've eaten Frog legs, pig intestines, sheep brain and preety much everything nasty coming from a pig like feet, ears, head, into one dish called "пача" which is basicly something like a pudding/jelly from everything above. Frog legs are preety tasty tho compared with the other stuff :D
