as far as the pig's blood goes, it tasted alright but I don't know if it was that or something else in the soup I was eating but I had major diarrhea afterwards.

Weirdest stuff I tried was caterpillar fungus (冬虫草). It's kind of fungus that lives in the ground. It can infect big caterpillars, germinate in them, kill and mummify them. Then it grows out of the body of the mummified caterpillar. Sea cucumbers are a bitch to cook and fairly expensive. edit: IIRC, its flavorless too.

I never had to cook sea cucumbers, I only force my self to eat them because they're expensive and wasting them would be an offense to the person who offered it to me. You're right, it's tasteless, but the texture is awful.

There's probably more, but can't think off the top of my head. ![]() That's quite a resume right there! How are scorpions prepared? Fried? I've eaten frog (which I hear isn't so uncommon in certain countries). I've eaten pickled pigs feet on a dare. I've also eaten rattlesnake (caught, killed, and cleaned on the spot), and I suppose crawdads are kind of a rarity depending on where you live. I actually remember eating a lot of crawdads on camp-outs—boiled over a fire in a Coke can with the top cut off. But they're much tastier when they're done up right in of those huge-ass pots with potatoes and corn and spices and whatnot.

It's like eating a cold wet sponge that is incredibly soft. You can almost drink it.

Almost like..maple syrup mixed with oyster..sort of? I love almost all foods too and I have to say I was kind of surprised by how much I disliked it considering what a delicacy it's considered to be. Kinda dissapointing. =/

No way. I mean, if I'm dying of hunger, that's a different story but I'd rather walk down the street and buy some chicken McNuggets. (Even if the nuggets are unhealthier with chemicals... at least there's no twitching head)

Proud to be chinese :D All tasted good to me tbh,if cooked right. That doesnt even scratch the list of "wierd" stuff that is somewhat normal cuisine in Chinese food. My Mum remembered eating snakes, armadillos, weasels, monkey brains, lizards etc lol.My mum said her father would just catch these creatures at the road side. Not that I will EVER eat them ![]() disgusting ewww

Basically it's kind of similar to the crunch you get with those Reese's sticks...
