That doesnt even scratch the list of "wierd" stuff that is somewhat normal cuisine in Chinese food. My Mum remembered eating snakes, armadillos, weasels, monkey brains, lizards etc lol.My mum said her father would just catch these creatures at the road side. Not that I will EVER eat them ![]() your mom caught moneys on the side of the road?

I recently discovered a sushi bar in my small town, since then I've been going the menu up&down trying everything, because it's so tasty. =) Anyway on the counter they have these boxes of seaweed salad, with all these vibrant colors from bright green to purple, covered with sesame and some dark dressing. That neon green stuff looks so tasty and since it's made by the same japanese people that invented sushi it must be good..right? Well, I really tried to eat it (it was somewhat expensive after all), but after only a few pieces I had to give up. It's a absolutely disgusting taste, that I can't even describe. Worst thing about it, it made me burp for hours with the taste always coming back..and I only ate like 4-5 hand long leafs..most effective burp agent ever, if the taste wasn't so bad it would actually be fun. xD Another thing was squid or octopus (dunno, was only tentacle xD) from the same sushi place, but I couldn't eat it..that stuff was made out of rubber. Chewed for minutes without success, gave up, nothings worth that much effort. Makes me wonder how many people choke to death every year from fried squid rings. They must be like those old six pack plastic rings, that kill fish, but for people. xD On April 16 2011 10:48 TALegion wrote: This might be me remembering incorrectly (as I remember hearing it while back), but don't fish not interpret pain like we do (as in, the fish knows it's being injured, but it doesn't feel, "Pain," if you know what I mean). I think I remember seeing it on Animal Planet, or something. Well, after a short while even a fish must realize that it's eaten alive when it feels more and more heavy injuries/missing bodyparts everywhere, unless they're really dumb. Don't know about you, but even without pain it would certainly be enough to freak me out, gettin' eaten alive..a terrifying thought..

I've had beef tongue, ox tail, ox knuckle, ox liver, pig legs/knuckle, pig ears, pig/cow intestines, frogs, raw beef, fried scorpions, octopus, duck/pig blood, swan, pigeon, sea cucumber, duck feet, jellyfish, snails, various types of mushrooms, certain bugs, turtle, squid, eels. edit: and crocodile I might have had a bite of dog once, but I don't remember. Strangely though, I haven't tried stinky tofu or any of those egg-type things.

Strangely though, I haven't tried stinky tofu or any of those egg-type things. speaking of fermented stuff, stinky tofu is absolutely delicious, so is century egg. one of the very few things that i found repulsive in the past was natto. my aunt made it for me and she mixed it with an raw egg (common), i ate the whole packet anyway, but i felt like throwing up afterwards

after that... a sandwich with something reminiscent of spam(the canned processed meat, not the dick pill mail), orange jelly and chocolate. was not that bad actually, despite everyone else looking at me sideways, thinking i'm just trying to gross everyone out(the jelly and meat tasted horribly on their own, so they thought that I was just kidding)

5.) Labskaus (German stew consisting of everything that fell down near the kitchen during the past week) 4.) Fried insects (quite popular in Southeast Asia for unknown reasons) 3.) Haggis (Scottish national dish, also used as an insult for obvious reasons) 2.) Chilli-cheese hot dog with bacon-flavor from a food court in Louisville, Kentucky (contains equal parts of plastic, quicksilver, and synthetic flavors) 1.) Not chicken (served by a friendly waiter in a Thai cookshop - who claimed it was chicken)

You could tell it'd just been pulled from the tank and that it had been caught very, very recently. The sea slugs and mussels still moving on the plate, though, not so much. I couldn't handle that and didn't eat it. Our tour guide called me a bitch, rofl. yeah i highly doubt that

It's just a little bit tougher meat than a regular beef burger. And back in sixth grade, we dissected a squid, then cleaned it completely and fried/ ate it as calamari ![]() ![]()
