That was utterly ridiculous. At the very least, Nolan should've had Blake confirm his suspicions by tricking Bruce to reveal the truth. That, at least, could make a little sense since the guy's not in a good place. If Blake tricks him into revealing that he's Batman then the forums will be up in arms screaming "how could some rookie cop trick Batman whose a strategic genius in the comic books." I'm sure Nolan could have worked in some elaborate process to how Blake finds out BW=BM, but I prefer a 2 min conversation considering the movie is already 3 hrs.

That was very anti-climatic ending for a main villain.

And the Tumblers getting disabled in one shot each? As if the missiles could be that powerful, or the Tumblers be designed with such glaring weakness.

I felt like that was something they could have held on to easily.

Nolan's Batman movies have always differed noticably from the original stories, so it's no surprise that this one did. I thought the movie was absolutely fantastic. I was so into the movie that I didn't even notice minor plot holes or twists being "obvious"; even if they were in hindsight, the movie had me locked in so well that I didn't notice them at the time. Simply fantastic.

But the 2 min convo didn't have to be a lazy attempt to engage us emotionally. As nice as his orphan story was, it made very little sense as to how he figured out Batman's true identity. As for everyone arguing the critics of the film are being nitpicky, that would be valid if you didn't worship Nolan as a god, and vaunted his work as some of the greatest in cinematic history. If you accept his films have quite a number of flaws when the surface is scratched, you have to stop saying shit like he's the next Kubrick or his batman trilogy is the greatest trilogy of all time.

You must all be basing this off your own expectations of what the movie should be like after TDK. Instead, try looking at this as just another super hero movie and then look at how awesome this movie really is. It's still the 2nd best super-hero movie ever right behind TDK. All others don't even come close. And I've never really liked DC comic heroes... A super hero movie is no excuse for gaping plot holes and retarded reasoning

So Nolan couldn't exactly introduce the conventional Robin even if he wanted to.
