and him not being worth 25m? wtf is that he is deff well worth it even more. Carlitos is young, to me he still has not reach full potential. what he did in boca juniors, and corinthians alone was O.O. even what he did in west ham, saved them from descending. rooney total career: 339 130= 38% Tevez: Total career: 276 114= 41% and even tho goals scored is not the best way to judge, in this case since the players are very similar on how they play, *(they are strong agresive and give their hearts out) is a very good indicator and personally I would pick Tevez over rooney in my team. tevez won many these awards for his team, he didn't win them with the team. Poll: who would you preffer on your team or is better (Vote): Tevez (Vote): Rooney ![]()

I'm impressed by his technical ability, he could be a lot better than Park Ji Sung. I've seen him in action during Korea's friendly vs Serbia and incidentally today when I went to see Arsenal beat Bolton 4-2 at the Emirates. (CMON GOONERSSS) He' the most technically gifted korean footballer I've seen. Unlike most Korean players who depend on work rate and efficiency, his dribbling and crossing is top notch and he hardly ever wastes possession. He's been a great consistent performer for Bolton and I think if he keeps on improving he'd be a real asset for any club. He'll impress during the WC I'm sure. Another one to watch out for is Ki Sung Yong, or David Ki, who just signed on for Celtic. He also possesses technical ability never seen in a Korean player, has great vision and sprays the ball around like Carrick. I do think South Korea can get quite far this WC, for once they look well covered in every position and many players come with european experience.

Also they are indeed very similar. But the main difference I can see is Rooney has a special kind of playmaking ability Tevez doesn't. Tevez is more of a poacher type forward. Both work extremely hard, close down defenders all game and have a pacy/direct offensive style.

But u can compare last 4 season(4th being this season). Only league goals counted here. Also notable fact is that Tevez is year older so in season 2006-2007, Rooney was only 21. Tevez 26 7 34 14 29 5 20 12 Total 109 38 ~ 35% VS Rooney 35 14 27 12 30 12 21 15 Total 113 53 ~ 47% I'm not going to pull the whole " your statistics suck" thing but I'm just curious to see if this takes into account substitutions. It's harder for a player to score when he comes on for the last 15 minutes, although you could make the argument that if he had been playing better he would have started. It's also important to take into account the importance of the goals when rating a player. tevez's goals saved West Ham from relegation almost single handedly, that's why they loved him so much. Paul Dickov scored 35 goals in almost 200 appearances for Man City, but he's a legend.

It is just kind of weird to me that all these players are mid/forward, not just korea, but also like japan or even china (hm... like 1 player left, and Sun left). Is it just the physical side? or other factor like anticipation/positioning just suck

There was a Chinese left back who played for PSV. There was another Chinese central defender who played for Celtic but sucked. There was a Chinese defender, fan zhi yi, who had a good career with Crystal Palace in the mid 90s.

I know, but compare to the success of midfield/forward, the defender all sucked (relatively). Personally, I find it strange that we get much more of the exports in the advanced positions, saying that, I have watched something like U12 or similar (ridiculously young age) tournament and the Japanese already had mad skills but the Brazilians aren't really that good.

![]() My preferred ManC poll would be: Robinho, worth putting up with the immaturity or not?

1. Who would want Robinho in this state? 2. Who would put up money that is equal to or greater then the money he was purchased for. A lot of really expensive purchases stay in teams because they lose resale value when they fall out of favour. At some point Robinho has to come to the following self-realisation: potential means nothing if you can't control it.
