- Join the in game channel HATCHERY PUB and ask for a Hatchery director
- Get a mentor (see below for details), who will then send you a new 21 day trial account
- Create a new 21 day account using the mentor's link
- Apply to corp

@ Maur: The steam key can only be used to create a new account, not to make an existing account last longer. This means if you have bought the game fom steam, you cannot use the buddy invite+plex trick to get a 'free' 51 days. Since the only ways to start an account are:
I had a 14 day trial, and purchased Eve on steam, and it let me add to existing account. I checked my account status and it shows 37 days left before it expires. 7 left on trial + 30 from the free month on the steam purchase.

You seem thick.
You can upgrade your 14 day trial with that key. You can't do the buddy program anymore because reading the op clearly taxed your mind too much.

Buddy program would've let you get a free 51 day account and given one of us 30 free days at the same time, motivating that one person to teach you how to play etc. Now you've paid for a 44 day account and none of us have any obligation to help you. Do you see why we do things the way we've said in the OP?

Ok, this i getting confusing, sorry if i didn't explain well or don't understand something.
-I haven't yet used the steam key Firebolt.
-I have read the entire OP several times
-I googled this before making my post here and various sites said 21 days trial and the 30 days from game purchase don't add up anymore. Not sure if you stay with 21 or it gives you 30. I asked here for confirmation before fucking anything up
-regular trial (14 days) adds up with the 30 days giving you 44 days

I bought the game on steam because it was on 75% off, it gives me a CD-key which i assume (and have read) you can use for upgrading a trial account or for making a new one.Sorry about the op, i thought it was usefull, but obviously there must be a reason for it to not be on the op.

Getting it through Steam is a good idea if you have no friends as you get free 14 + 30 days for $5. Getting it through friends is a better idea as you get free 51 days.

It's general consensus among leading economists (need Lee to confirm this) that free is indeed better than $5.
Now, if we're talking about comparing the worth of [free(game)+mentorship] versus [$5(game)], that's a whole other story.
Maths is difficult.

Advanced maths (a broad term referring to maths involving integers greater than 247) is pretty hard. Fortunately an assessment of the comparative values of 44, 51, 5 and 0 can be found in the index of Firebolt's best-selling book 'List of common numbers, 0-100', the definitive work on the subject.

In short what they are saying is if you did the buddy thing and then subbed they would give you the equivalent of 30 days of game time free. Also the buddy trial is 7 days longer than the regular trial.
Because you paid for 30 days when you subbed you would have 81 days of game time doing their offer while only paying for one month of game time.

I don't even know why you are talking about paying for things, you can make enough ingame money for a plex in your 21 free days, giving you another 30 days on top of the 21, along with some extra money from your mentor. No need to spend any real money at all.

Firebolt, I'm ashamed that your whole treatise seems to lack an explanation of how to determine the relative size of two numbers based on their location in your book! Unless there's a technical appendix explaining that within-page comparisons should be made left to right, with more left-inclined number being the smaller, and that for items not on the first page and not on the same page, comparison of the page numbers to the first page can give a hint as to the relative size.
I mean, otherwise the whole thing is a tome of ordered squiggles, and that's no good for counting Ravens.
