The most common way of making money for plexing accounts and affording ingame items is mining and mission running. Mission running is way ahead once it gets to level 4 missions, netting you the aforementioned ~20m + per hour and easily more once you have experience to judge with and sufficient skill training to cut some or a lot of corners. The 21day could probably get you into a Drake with somewhat decent skills to get through missions somewhat slow but safely.
and yes, go ahead and hook up with someone for a 21 day buddy trial.

Just a quick question: how to grind? Awhile back in the thread, when I asked about PLEX's, you said it might take around 30 hours to PLEX one week into the game. In what way were you describing?

i think mining really isn't that great for the amount of effort put in unless your plan on using the minerals.

To have access to a constant supply of good minerals you need to be in null sec or in WH's of which you either have to be part of a pvp alliance or a renter alliance. If you're a starting player, the skill points you have to allocate to bring in any decent amount of isk is quite considerable and and the lost opportunity cost of being able to enjoy actually blowing other stuff up (pve or pvp) in lieu of mining is pretty bad.
Now if it was an alt mining character than by all means have at it I suppose, but mining isn't something you would want to focus on for a beginning Eve player. Come to think of it, how much isk hour do you get these days doing solo mining? Like 15-20 mil an hour with a maxed out skills?

SKRUBS tried to camp our home station with a broadsword, a myrm, two drakes, two harbs and two canes. We sent out redtooth to keep them interested while Karah and I fit up the two stupidest drakes we could. Aeth joined us in a shield brawl cane while redtooth's rifter did a close fly by to draw their fire. Our sudden pincer attack took them by surprised. A rifter warped up from below while two drakes and a cane smashed into the front where they only had two drakes, two canes, two harbs, a myrm and a broadsword. They knew resistance was futile and two of them immediately warped out. A cane found itself caught up in the confusion and was gunned down before it knew what was going on. A myrm valiantly tried to hold the line to buy time for the broadsword which docked up. As the myrm went down our fury switched to the harb, our guns on fire from overheat damage, but it limped into the station and docked in structure. Good fights sounded in local as they conceded the inevitable and the Hatchery held the field.

Drake+Drake+Hurricane+HeroRifter > Broadsword+Harbinger+Harbinger+Hurricane+Hurricane+Drake+Drake+Myrmidon

Ok, I think getting a t2 fit Abaddon is like half the time of a good Zealot now....
Anyway, I want to fight those new guys again, and absolutely smash them. Maybe we'll force them to get good at pvp and they might win a qualifier match in that alliance tournament.

I have bought a second cynabal.
HAI EFFICIENCY, YOU ARE GOING DOWN
on a related note, i have made a new rule - i am never fcing/piloting a ship worth more than 70m after midnight.
similar to how kwark should never fly anything more expensive than a drake. ever. and ever.
|
His drakes can run quite expensive
|
It's fine if kwark loses his drakes. Losing his pod however is quite another thing...
