Isn't the Heavy Neut Curse the shield curse? That's the fastest one. It's like 75km range on the heavy neut too.

I ade my acc mid December, but it's still Going to be a month at least till I can fly a zealot, probably more tbh.

Nah, the most normal fit is 3x med neut, 2x small neuts (or HMLs) + shield tank, cap booster, mwd, point in the mids and some stuff in the lows (DCU/PDS/nano?).
Also I just checked EFT and saw that the heavy neut version only has 20k EHP at best, which sucks if you're ever not 75k away from everything that can shoot you. (or 150km from gateguns :|)

This is the shield zealot I would fly. Easily faster than any BC (assuming links are equal and actually faster than a snaked dual-nano cane). IMO though, zealot provide little use in lowsec over Draeks because their buffer is very thin and they don't have many frigs to instapop.

I think rate of fire gives more damage over time, you could do the math if you wanted.

higher rof= you have to reload more often = lower dps.
at the same time you can switch between targets faster.

120 rounds is usually enough to drop 4 BS and a bunch of cruisers, and I can 1 shot frigs, but usually I just loldrone them.

Also, hurray for extended downtime being extended.

I've just had a brilliant idea for the poor newbies who have to travel so far to salvage our missioners at distant systems from our home.

Create an alt on the same account and pause your original training for a few hours to get salvaging skills on the new character, then park that character in our mission hubs.

Problem solved.
