Well, my original idea was running a sort of EWAR ship in fleet engagements, but Gallente is pretty crap for that. The thing that captured my attention now as a long-term goal is flying something like that:
[Dominix, domi] Damage Control II 1600mm Reinforced Rolled Tungsten Plates I Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II Armor Kinetic Hardener II Armor Thermic Hardener II Armor Explosive Hardener II Drone Damage Amplifier II
Large Micro Jump Drive 100MN Afterburner II Heavy Capacitor Booster II, Navy Cap Booster 800 Omnidirectional Tracking Link II, Optimal Range Script Omnidirectional Tracking Link II, Optimal Range Script
Heavy Unstable Power Fluctuator I Heavy Unstable Power Fluctuator I Heavy Unstable Power Fluctuator I Heavy Unstable Power Fluctuator I Drone Link Augmentor II Drone Link Augmentor II
Large Trimark Armor Pump I Large Trimark Armor Pump I Large Trimark Armor Pump I
Garde II x5 Hornet EC-300 x5 Valkyrie II x5 Warrior II x5
I guess that pretty much sets my way for training into armor tank + drones style of play, possibly brawling Incursus in FW before I get all the drone skills up. I just don't know if such kinds of ships/playstyles are useful for the fleet engagements...
Drones are OP as all hell right now. If you are into drones + Armor tank check out these ships.
Tristan Incursis ishkur Vexor Myrmidon Ishtar*** Arguably one of the best ships in game for solo / small gang / fleet Curse*** One of the scariest EWAR ships in game. Doesn't get better than a curse. Prophecy Domi / Domi Navy
There is a reall nice drone PvP video out there... I will post it when I get home.
Also you are wrong about the EWAR. Gallente have the Malus, Keres, Celestis. Which are extreamly strong and powerful ships at the moment. Keres in particular is OP.
Chessur is a baddie. Drones are not OP as fuck right now, what drones are is getting insanely OP bonuses from ship hulls. Remove ishkur from that list. Also curse.

Hookah... Curse is EWAR which he wanted, and it has drone bonuses.
Also Ishkur... uses drones. Its something. But we all know AF's are P bad.
Ishkur is a relic from when a frigate having 5 drones was something special. Now every ship has 5 drones, most have damage bonuses and some have damage bonuses and application bonuses.

I've tried doing low sec exploration (combat sites) a few times in an Arbitrator with combat probes. Needless to say it didn't go well, neither income nor PvP wise.
My suggestion to you is twofold.
The first, and easy / low SP way of doing PvE while PvP is to do FW. You can grab a PvP ship and go sit in a beacon, collect LP and then wait for a fight to come to you.
Another option is to go into low sec hunting 5/10 Sites with a 100MN tengu or something simmilar. This will take more SP / ISk for an investment. However while out searching, there is a very high probablity that you will run into other people doing the same thing, or people hunting you.
Last option is by far the least consistant. But you can jump into a stealth bomber and go hunt noctis in worm hole space. in C5 / C6 space bagging a noctis worth 1bil is pretty easy provided the loot fairy kind of likes you. In C1-C3 catching 200-400 noctis is more likely. But this requires luck, patience, and the ability to probe quickly and know how to stalk targets.
Thanks for the reply.
Options two and three are out of the question, because I'm not that self-sufficient. I hate farming isk and haven't found anything that'll let me do it without making me feel like I'm farming isk.
I was about to try FW at one point but then the lowsec exploration idea popped in my head and I postponed that. I guess I should give it a try.
With the addition of Mordus and rare minerals should I be looking out for a specific region of lowsec as well? I figure it will at least increase activity for some time.
That said he is still clearly eve 1% and a boss for flying the ships he does although I don't like his shield legion fit, dcu or second nano would give him more imo, can't see what his rigs are but if they're not at least dual locus he could potentially trade out a resist rig for a locus and lose TE for nano. Rigs should be 2x locus anti-em and if they are then 2nd TE doesn't give much.
Join Heavy Elements on an alt. There were three Heavy Elements, on plain, and two with Inc. I joined the plain one. Allied with Romanian Legion. Is this correct?
