Do lures do anything but spawn pidgey/weedle/rattata currently? My game experience shows my a lured pokestop is virtually the same as an un-lured one. lures just pull the same pokemon as normally appear in the area. i think there is a slight increase in chance of spawning a rare, but its not guaranteed.
i would prefer if lures are just removed from the game, or have the ability to lure an entire area. lures encourage people to not move in a game that is about moving. i have a ton of lures in my backpack doing nothing because if i am going to play, i am not going to sit in the same place for long periods of time.

It's fun to look at a park and see the confetti but it would have way more pull if the % chance for a rare was increased more noticeably. Have more people gathering. I just started luring randomly to open up bag space...

Yeah but lures do the other part of what the game is for: meeting people. I think it'd be better if maybe they lasted for 15 minutes but spawned more rare pokemon (or spawned 2x the pokemon). So you'd still gather around lures, but not have to sit at them for so long.

i am liking my idea of luring an entire park/area though. that would be pretty awesome. people who want to socialize can do so, and people who want to rack up the kms can do so.

The way I've seen it is usually if one or two go up, the remaining pokestops in a block or so radius will get them too so you can walk back and forth. If its just one I will not stop for it lol, the chance to run into a rare pokemon seems way higher if you were to just keep moving.

I kinda wish that there was more incentive to catch evolved Pokemon. It just feels kinda awful to look at the radar, see any evolved Pokemon and go, "oh, great, a Pidgeotto" and then walk the other way. Other than those that are near the high end of your CP gauge, the rest are generally a waste of energy and pokeballs. Something as simple as increased XP or more candies/more candies for transfer would be nice.

I believe this will be at least partially alleviated with the badge capture bonus (i.e. having gold in Flying type pokemon will make Pidgeots (and Dragonites etc.) easier to catch. http://pokemongolive.com/en/post/elemental/

Scaling everything down doesn't solve that, though. As long as a pidgey averages X balls and a pidgeotto averages anything greater than X balls, the play will be to walk to the pidgey because there is no benefit whatsoever to catching a non-maxed pidgeotto.
That said, the capture bonus is a step in the right direction. Not a big step, but a step.

For the 1/2 prices evolutions it's always going to be a problem, but that seems fine. With the capture Bonus I think things will be more even and things like catching most 2nd of 3 stage pokemon (like say a Weepingbell) will be more worthwhile since it can save you a decent chunk of candy.

Decreased evolution animation time? Revolutionary! It better be by more than like, 2 seconds.

8 more pokemons to complete my dex. All of which should be done while walking. Guess I will stop unless they make a proper tracker or add new stuff. Most of my friends have stopped and its boring to play alone especially when "blind".

Could technically walk the rest but thats well north of 3000km required lol

Just hit level 26 and I have 10 to go before I hit 142. Hopefully I wont have to walk to finish it >_< pidgeys weedles and caterpies better not runaway with this update
still need: venusaur charizard blastoise ninetails alakazam golem dodrio wheezing kabutop muk
|
I am currently art 112 caught, 10 more seen (and I would have an Onix if I weren't out of pokeballs when I saw it ). Still have some way to go
|
For me it's Venusaur, Charizard, Exeggutor, Alakazam, Kabutops, Omastar.
And then that Tangela...
I'm nearing 1000 bag space, after that I'll just pour all of my coins into incubators, I don't think I'll be able to catch one in the wild so I better go ham on those eggs..
|
out of 205 eggs hatched only 1 was tangela
interesting stat: 2761 stops vistied and 2763 pokemon caught
|
I'm at 2700 pokestops and 2500 caught.
What's up with a level 20 Onix being 467 CP at 80% IV...
|
10409 pokestops, 6703 catches =/
Onix is a victim of the translation from Pokemon stats to CP. His redeeming qualities in the real games are really high Def and ok Speed.
His HP is trash, so his STA in PoGo is trash, too. Both his Atk and SpA are trash, so his ATK in PoGo is too. (and ATK weighs more than STA/DEF when calculating CP, this compounds the issue) His Def and SpD are incredibly far apart, which hurts his DEF in PoGo. (Similar to Alakazam/Gengar issues with ATK)
Steelix will be quite a bit better. He gets an all around buff and trades speed for stats that are more useful in PoGo.
