About the regions that races could start off. Greenskins hold territory, they are ussually fighting between themselves there, except when a Warboss manages to grow a lot and call for a Waaaagh! Vampire Counts always had Sylvania, they never entirely purged from there, and in the cinematic, you see Manfred von Carstein, so i am guessing Sylvania. Dwarves lives on the mountains (or under of), in clear dispute with goblins, orcs and squeeky things, and well, the empire, is the empire, so it got some territory ![]() Plansix, i guess you are not well informed about how Rome 2 was released. Many of the DLC playable factions were in game, you just didn't have them unlocked, because reasons. It's not like they were putting hard work into them to release very unique factions. I will yaaaaaaarrrrr this and try out like i did with Rome 2, if it's good i will buy, if it's an unfinished crap (mostly expected), i will just wait for price drop. The weird thing is that we see Dwarves, Vampire Counts, Orcs (not goblins wink wink) and Empire. Then we see the sigmar priest (or theogonist, dunno, this bold guys are all the same to me, aside armor) who is probably reading the liber maleficus or whatever is called and gets possesed by a Tzeench entity which hints to Chaos being in there too. We probably will have more than 4 factions in game, but only 4 of them will be playable at release.

Look for CA to fuck Halo Wars 2 into the ground while making Ensemble look like geniuses for making Halo Wars 1.

The famous CA 'pre-alpha' footage. This will be much better looking than the game. I guess i'm also in the camp of not having forgotten Rome 2. I have absolutely no faith in this. They might well have their best guys on it, but they definitely had their best guys on Rome 2 and it was shit.

The game looks to be roughly the quality of Rome 2.

Ugh... hope they sell a complete title... the way they did Rome2 was dirty and really turned me away from buying TW games Watched that video with "gameplay footage"... if it can delivr that...everyone will be incredibly happy. One nice thing about Warhammer races = every race will be forced to be different and unique.... just really hope they dont nickel and dime the shit ouf o their customers again like they did for Rome 2/attilla

Or if they do that, the models, animations and effects will look like garbage. If they did $20 DLC with 2 full new races, with all the spells, animations and special units, it will be worth it.

Regarding this game....CA has stated that the game will take place in the old world...will they stick to it now that the end of times and age of sigmar happened? Furthermore, with so many interesting races to begin with, just like relic did, CA is starting with the most boring T_T this game has so much potential to be gold but starting with this 4 playable races with Chaos as an antagonist NPC is sad. Let CA have the balls to have lizardmen and tomb kings in the game and this will be epic...let them take 4 years to introduce chaos and HE/WE/DE as the next factions and I'll cry. Plus....blizzard already shafted us with this 3 games in one thing...sc2 could have been done and ready in 2011 but instead we are paying for it 3 times....over the course of 6/7 years.... I'm a bit salty because after being away for a while, only yesterday did I realize that WHFB does not exist anymore o.O

The last 2-3 TW games have been; Bare bone factions on launch. 2 weeks later, they sell you another couple of playable factions. And then release 2-3 more in another month. They will probably, in reality have 6-7 playable races at launch, but they will wait a couple weeks to sell you half of them as a separate DLC. And depending on sales, they will keep releasing more and more playable races, youll just have to continually shell out $10 every couple weeks for another playable faction. Its just how they have operated for the past couple Titles... nickel and diming you until everyone gives up on the series.

The other issue is with the amount of rubberband mechanics in their games. Some players complained about rushing so they kept introducing new rubberband mechanics to slow down a runaway player. However, that meant that campaigns take forever to finish now. I have played the series since Shogun 1. In Medieval 1, I finished the campaign with at least 10 different factions. That number has been going down per game. I only managed to finish Rome 2 with 1 faction before I completely gave up on it.
