It would take me like 10-24 hours to farm 40k gold.

An inactive account now counts as a starter edition (meaning you can only play to level 20. characters above 20 cannot be logged in on). You will be able to buy a Token from the Character Select screen if you have enough money and that will re-active your account.

This has obviously already exacerbated the spike, and I expect it will have a similar effect on the eventual crash. More people are going to rush to sell Tokens as the price goes up, meaning there'll be an even bigger surplus crashing the price. I'm actually interested to see what happens come May. Theoretically speaking that's when the 10 token limit will reset, and I'll be curious to see if that's enough of a factor to have a significant effect on prices.

I would expect a price spike every months as subs run out That's not going to happen because the token sub time is added onto the end of your current sub when your days run out. There's no massive trend towards subs running out on a specific day or even week - so the effect will be spread out 41k and rising. I'm gonna buy one and drop it as soon as it goes off 30 min sales i think. This crash is gonna be epic (:

If 10'000 people buy tokens, they'll still have subs running out over a time period spread across the entire month I expect a decent number of those buying were inactive but your right, overall it will probably be spread out enough to not be noticeable.

I expect a decent number of those buying were inactive ahh yea i hadn't considered that overall though i think the amount of people that wouldn't play the game unless they could sub with gold (and were not playing, previously) is pretty small compared to the entire region population I'd just like a bit of gold right now because i'm i650 with a 630 weapon and my trinkets are 615 and 600. I'd have to get really lucky to fill out all three of those with heroic-brf capable gear (though i can arena whore for the 660 weapon) on the next reset with PUG's. Overall i have strong gear now but the gaps will be annoying to fill I only have access to like 100g/day on this realm with the garrison because it's a new char and i have two treasure hunters (with abilities that rarely are correct for the mission, so i get doubled gold with like a 55-75% chance quite often, barely any improvement) - i think it might even be worth going scavengers first, but i can keep lumber mill running and drop in a trading post to generate GR if i stay in the current state of treating water at under 1000 GR because spending a lot of them on follower upgrades and sending the missions (rly adds up when you're starved)

Those with multiple months of game time wont be buying more for a little while and the amount of people with large numbers of accounts is to small to have a significant impact. My interest has less to do with the buyers than the sellers. If Token caps are all reset at the same time I'm hypothesizing a potential supply spike as sellers who capped previously do so again. There are two questions on my mind:
The population of Token cappers might be too low to create a perceivable fluctuation. Similarly, a significant fraction of capper may not cap again because they've either bought what they were looking for or aren't interested at the lower peak price of ~24k, Either or both of these factors, along with simple awareness of when the cap resets, could mean we don't see an extra deep price drop at the start of May.

damn it would cost £39 ($57) to take my char from twisting nether horde to silvermoon alliance The population of Token cappers might be too low to create a perceivable fluctuation It's oscillating like crazy on the US side anyway (like +-10% constantly) because of artificially allowing people to sell for higher prices than the balanced market value which makes it super hard to see any small changes Just switched from 30 min sales to 30 min - 2hr on EU @43k The price is adjusting by smaller amounts, i don't think i've seen this on token exchange before. The last increase was only 1.00288x (bit over a quarter of a percent, not 1% per 15 min) 44967 to 44981 adjustment. IT'S HAPPENING I'l try to sell at 45k ![]()
