Either way, the Heat have bounced back after all 3 losses this postseason to win by double digits the next game. Even if the Pacers won g6, we have no reason to think they would win a g7 IN Miami. So the question then is what % do you think it is worth for the Heat being so dominant all year long, going against an inconsistent backcourt and having the last game at home? Is that worth at least 7% odds? If so then there is 90% and that is overwhelming. I'll take those odds.

At least the Knicks went 3-1 against the Heat in the regular season, right? They'd prob be the favs right now if they beat the Pacers... I'm also not sure what you mean by scoring at what would have been a league-leading rate, since they were 23rd in Points per game.

@Onslaught: He means Indiana's playoff Offensive Rating which has been killing Miami. Lot of that due to free throw generating they didn't get tonight.

That's somewhat of an oversimplification in that Miami is a much higher calibre opposition which obviously contributes to egg-laying but I still believe there are games where Indy just isn't full switched on.

Lebron would have to have his best playoff series of all time, which isn't entirely out of the question also chalmers will have to at least put up 15 a game or bosh will have to drop 20 to keep up with the spurs O

I kind of feel differently tho, I don't think they need so much scoring from bosh and Chalmers. I think that the winner comes down to bench production for scoring and defensive rebounds. Whoever has the most defensive rebounds wins. (i know that points is the satirical reply, but rebounds are what I think wins) As far as starters go, I think miami is stronger, and they have homecourt advantage- Chalmers, Wade, Lebron, Bosh, Haslem Parker,Green, Leonard,Duncan, Splitter But not by much. Duncan, splitter and Diaw have shown that they can stop bigs and i think the spurs have more rebounding power. If the heat figure out how to deal with this, they win the series. Recently, The heat have shown that they are far far superior in terms of flopping. Spurs bench- Neal, Ginobili, tmac, bonner, blair vs Heat Bench- Battier, cole, miller, Birdman, Ray Allen The heat are stacked on their bench with shooters, but have very little bench defense besides birdman, and Battier. Outside, I don't think that Miller or Allen can slow down Ginobili. So I think when Ginobili comes out, that Battier should defend him. Everyone always says that the heat are so explosive, but I think actually the spurs are the better team at controlling the tempo and if they have the lead in the third quarter +5 or so I think they win almost every game. Lastly, The teams have completely different coaching styles. Spoestra is lets his players play a lot of one on one and doesn't favor ball movement.(not as much as D'antoni who has never heard of ball movement and just does mismatches resulting in injured players) A good defensive team like the spurs will result in a very slow game with a lot of fouls and low field goal percentages. Kind of a boring series to watch. I bet only 1 game over 105 points. If Bench production is good for the spurs, and they get the rebounds they win the series in 6 games. If the heat get good bench play, and can keep up underneath the basket, they win in 7.

I like Green and Leonard, but they're at a larger disadvantage against Lebron than George is. Plus I'm not sure the Spurs can defend against the 3 as well as the Pacers are. If the Pacers weren't guarding the 3 so well, this series would be lights out. That's what gets Miami their awesome spacing. Too hard to call, imo.

Then the Spurs would have to run Parker off the ball and do a lot of pindown screens and shit just to get him the ball. Maybe the Heat don't want Lebron to do that on defense, but its not like he cant. Not a great analogy considering how well the spurs play team offense compared to a rose led squad.

David Stern agrees, and said so as part of “Speaking of Sports with Rob Simmelkjaer” on NBC Sports Radio, to be broadcast on NBCSportsRadio.com on Sunday at 8 a.m. Eastern. Here is the money quote: “I do think he should have been ejected. I looked at the replays and, it seems to me, there was no immediate push or shove of him, he just hauled off and knocked down Tyler Hansbrough. I don’t know what he was doing. And then he pushed him. And then he did not go gracefully to the bench.” Stern then says a “serious review of activities” should happen and to “stay tuned.” http://probasketballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/05/31/stern-tells-nbc-andersen-should-have-been-ejected-for-shove-of-hansbrough/
