The game is over
A non-free way would be purchasing a League Pass. Highly recommended, works very well even on crappy Australian internet. It should be better in France.

nba league pass has great quality, but is fairly expensive.
Oh and don't forget about the NBA trivia. Which you will know by heart after 10 games.

Ok thanks. Man I love basketball, so I might do that. But I don't know if I really have the time to watch enough that it's worth it to pay a pass. :/

My biggest problem with League pass are the absurd blackout/network rules.
I hear it's better if you're not in the US, but it's a huge and stupid ripoff if you are. They won't show any nationally televised games nor any that are shown locally (basically meaning you can't watch your hometown team since local games are always televised locally...)

damn, anderson still haven't missed a shot this series

we get every game, no ads and no halftime shows however. just nba cares!

Damn that was kind of disappointing. Guess the first 4 games spoiled us.

Oh, wow. Didn't see the first bump from Anderson. Yeah, I think he should've been tossed for that. Not the push, but the blindside shoulder.
Wonder if they'll suspend him for that since they missed it tonight.

That was a cheap shot from anderson, good thing he is wearing a heat jersey or that would have been a flagrant 2 and nothing on psycho t.

BS that Anderson wasn't tossed for the blindshot shoulder check on Hansborough.
Disappointing that the refs gave the Heat the ball on the play where Lebron just lost the ball out of bounds and it was very clear no one else touched it, and it ended up resulting in a Ray 3 pointer at a crucial juncture. Ended up resulting in a Heat run much like the shotclock miscall in the last game.
Amazing how Lebron took the game over in the second half.
Hill's importance shoots up even more because Augustin is a liability on both ends of the court.
The Pacers should've made an adjustment to all those Haslem jumpers. I understand that they might want to concede midrange shots from Haslem as opposed to drives or 3 pointers, but you can't just let a guy keep shooting the exact same shot from the same spot in rhythm over and over.

Nah George Hill isn't important. Despite annihilating Miami early in Game 4 the pacers big players are the reason they win or lose.

The more I read about MJ, the more I think that he's extremely lucky to have played before the advent of social media.

5 points, 2-11, 3 reb, 6 assist, 6 TO, 1-1 FTA, in 65min played
What is that the line of? That is the combined performance of Hill and Stephenson. The Pacers never had a chance. Time to move on to the Spurs with a real and consistent backcourt.

I, too, like taking the results of 1 game and sensationalizing it. As if the same 2 didn't put up 20 and 19 points in game 4. And as if the strength of the Pacers really relies on guard play.

Apparently the word consistent went right over your head.
G1: 12pts, 10 assist, 16reb, 7TO, 4-5 FTA, -4 when on court = Pacers Lost
G2: 28pts, 8 assist, 11reb, 3TO, 4-7 FTA, +27 when on court = Pacers win
G3: 26pts, 4assist, 2 reb, 1 TO, 7-9 FTA, -7 when on court = Pacers Lost
G4: 39pts, 8 assist, 2 TO, 10-12 FTA, 10 reb, +18 when on court = Pacer win
G5: 5pts, 6 assist, 6 TO, 1-1 FTA, 3 reb, -17 when on court = Pacers lose
There is a tendancy for people in this thread to act as if everything is mutually exclusive. Just because somebody says guard play or the frontcourt is vital doesn't mean the other parts of the game are suddenly null and void.
Also, unless you can sit here and say that the Pacers do in fact have a more consistent backcourt than the Spurs, then I don't see how what I typed was sensational. It is plain as day to anyone watching that all playoffs the Pacers backcourt has been hot and cold.
|
4 of those statlines look alright to me, and it seems more than a little bit ridiculous to me that because they had one bad game you're suddenly acting like the Heat have the series in the bag, when it's been incredibly close up to this point, or that a couple of those games the Pacers lost could easily have been wins.
edit- because apparently you like putting arguments in my mouth the part that's sensational is you implying that the series is over, not your statements about consistent guard play.
Nice backtracking there.
