The Heat will cruise their way to the Finals EZPZ. There is no real contender in the East for them. But the West should be pretty exciting.

I think Lakers will get their 8th seed just barely.... only to be swept away first round. First playoffs that I will watch extensively!

I hate the Lakers as much as anyone but I'd still give them a game against OKC or SA.
Just one, though.

Are you drunk? Lakers won't win any Games if they make the Playoffs. Not even close. They'll get hammed by the Spurs!

Spurs did lose to Miami that rested LBJ, Dwade and Chalmers.....

^And Miami almost lost to Spurs that rested Duncan, Parker, Ginobili, and Green.

1st round gonna be pretty boring I think. Only the 2 west series, NYK/BOS, and maybe IND/CHI are gonna be good. Other 4 are gonna be blowouts.

The East could have been really interesting if there were Heat vs Indiana/Chicago/NY matchups, but the way things are going they will only play one of those teams. I give Indiana the best chance to knock out Miami but the question is can they beat NY?

Denver/GSW will be fun, but I think it's a 5 game series at best for the Warriors. Denver is significantly better.

Denver/GSW will be fun, but I think it's a 5 game series at best for the Warriors. Denver is significantly better. It depends on how good Lawson will be. The nuggs lost Gallo, which is huge, and if Ty isnt back either they lost their best 2 ballhandlers. GSW also has possibility to win if Curry remains hot and their defense doesn't fall apart.
Celtics will have problems with NYK but it really depends on the Knick's injuries I feel like. Both Pacers/Bulls are really strong defensive teams but I feel are weaker on Offense, and it could go either way. Slightly biased though. I think it goes to at least 6 either way and you're one Nate Robinson 40 point game from a Chicago upset.
I don't think the Clippers win over the Grizzlies because the Grizz play really strong defense and LAC in the half-court is weak with Chris Paul off the court and is barely above average with him on. Defense matters more than offense in the playoffs and the Grizzlies' offense has somehow improved since the Rudy Gay trade. That'll be the closest series for sure but I think that the Grizzlies have it. Marc Gasol is far superior to DeAndre Jordan and Z-bo is a good match against Blake Griffin, unless his recent slump extends to the playoffs. Allen can shut down CP3/Crawford and Conley is underrated as well. Their only real weakness is below-average 3 point shooting but their half-court sets make up for it and they find ways to penetrate anyway.

lol @ Jibba. Sad to say but Boston beating the Knicks without Rondo would be a HUGE upset. I mean earth shattering.

GSW has no defense to speak of, Denver does. And as screwy as George Karl's end game management can be, Mark Jackson's is kind of terrible. I think Denver can play faster than the Warriors and can still play defense on them.
The Celtics have been much better than expectations, but I really just don't respect the Knicks. They may have a couple games where they blow Boston out, but I think Boston will be better in close games. They basically just have Carmelo and JR Smith going off on people, with Chandler and Amare out, and there's no way that keeps up.
The Grizzlies offense has improved because Hollins can't run Gay iso's all the time. I feel like the Grizzlies could be better if ZBo and Gasol would take 15+ shots per game, especially Gasol, but they don't. Tonight Gasol was killing it, but they weren't really milking him like they should. The improved offense is too limited, and people forget the Clippers play defense too.
Bledsoe causes more issues for the Grizzlies' ball handlers than Allen and Conley do for the Clippers'. I don't know if you watched the game earlier tonight, but Allen really wasn't doing that much and he's such a huge liability on offense. Conley played pretty well, but it didn't help that the Clippers were missing some open shots and the Grizzlies shot above average from 3.

I don't think they are significantly better if Lawson isn't, say 80% or better. With a healthy Lawson they can keep their rotations up at which point, absolutely. Without him...dunno...

The Clippers bigs don't play good defense though, and especially PnR defense. VDN wants them to come out and trap the ball handler, but Jordan especially isn't fast enough to keep up and Zbo/Gasol have a real easy time getting to the paint.
I didn't watch tonight, but I don't think that Bledsoe could be better on defense than Allen, and if he was ineffective this game I think that wouldn't hold true over a whole series.
Like I said it'd be close, but I think that in a series Memphis can pull it out over the Clippers.

Denver/Warriors will have really close games but Denver will pull through in six I think cause Stephen Curry WILL go off multiple games.Clippers/Memphis should be good because of the contrast in styles. Interested to see how that plays out and Paul vs. Conley will be a good matchup.
Spurs/Rockets is interesting too since the Rockets have a young team versus the old of the Spurs. With the recent struggles of the Spurs and the injuries, the Rockets might make it a series.
As a Lakers fan, I can't imagine the destruction they will face at the hands of OKC if they get in.
Excited for Knicks/Celtics as well. The rest in of the matchups in the east are all blowouts in my opinion unless Chicago somehow manages to get a few games and build some momentum.

Gasol and Zbo can get a shot in the paint almost any time they want against the Clippers (unless the ball is stripped) but that doesn't mean they're going to take it. That's the issue I'm talking about. If one of them decides to be an alpha dog, I think they'd be better. If they're just putting up 15-20 points, then no.
