I think this is the best version, the long one takes too long.

Also, I think the Lakers have a pretty decent chance of pulling an "upset" against the Spurs who are without manu/parker, and are 3-7 in their last 10. And I hope Harden and Lin drop 60 combined every game, because I hate OKC. They have a better chance against SA than against OKC, but im still being realistic and picking SA in 6 And even if harden/Lin drop 60, they'd still lose cuz then KD/WB would match them point for point (and then some) and OKC plays the same kind of offense Houston does, only better

Also, go Rockets (even though they looked awful against the Lakers last night).

Kobe will saying " oh shit, looks like lakers were lot better without me" Kobe going down did help in a way - it seems like the Lakers have an offensive identity with Howard as the sole focal point, though it remains to be seen how that will translate into the playoffs. And if there's one thing I've learned about the Spurs, it's to never bet against Popovitch.

Spurs were on fire until the last stretch of the season where they played awful. Got into the playoffs and lost to OKC, and that was when they were the favorites. Now the situation is even worse. Even though I'd say the spurs give their stars the most rest of any team they still struggle towards the end.

The Spurs were on a 10 game winning streak going into the playoffs.

I think that people got overhyped on the Lakers after seeing them beat some poor/underperforming teams. Dwight has been looking better but their defense is still a mess, and even if Parker is still not 100% none of the Lakers guards can contain them defensively. Timmy D is still a beast and so is Kawhi, Howard and Gasol (sometimes) is the only thing they have going for them defensively and that's on an individual basis. The Lakers team D is still below league-average and in the playoffs that matters the most. The Pop system is too methodical for Dwight alone to be able to carry them defensively. After that it doesn't matter how good the Lakers offense will be, they can't win. I give them a better chance now than I would have if Manu/Parker were back/100%, but to me that only translates to a 5-6 game series instead of a sweep.

I do think people predict wins/losses for certain teams based on their biases. Just enjoy the damn playoffs. Que sera, sera. i like the spurs though ![]() last year, i really wanted them to not streak into the playoffs so they could have a taste of losing. then they got 0-4'd out

If you gonna say the Spurs are gonna get gassed out then the Lakers are more likely to do so. @Jerubaal- thought they were gonna make it to the finals last year and be that years Old Men to face the Heat.
