I havn't even played the new patch but have you tried using vassals for coring? Seemed to be the way even before this. | ||

Furthermore, avoid getting full cores as much as possible. Full cores should only ensure your income/manpower is stable enough to keep conquering, every extra full state is just wasted admin. | ||

Getting the Burgundian Inheritance or a von Habsburg on the castillian throne aswell is pure luck, the union with hungary is not. | ||

I did a one tag with Castille in 1.17, doing dirty Coptomans one tag atm in 1.18, royal marriage and alliances with France, Castille and Muscovy so the Sunni mega coalition does not dare to declare on me. Alternating truces between Persia, Delhi and Nogai atm, the rest of the Sunni's (all the way up to Brunei) coalition me, but I'm soon going to touch the Hindu's so as long as I keep my current alliances, no coalition dares to declare. Inching through Hungary preventing a European coalition. Waiting for religious war to fire, going to make sure it becomes a stalemate, and then try to become the holy roman emperor. Coptomans does feel rather filthy as I'm paying 1 admin per development atm. Had so many admin points early on that I just decided to force through berbers instead of feeding a vassal there. Anyway general advise for world conquest as Castille: Take influence first, feed expensive stuff to Aragon. Always try to become papal controller, and excommunicate hard. Feed vassals early on, and core in the Timbuktu region to spend excess admin points. Don't rush early on. Try to get Portugal as a Vassal, feed them Berber, and get a vassal in Ireland asap (for feeding England into). Generally you also get a union on Naples, feed Naples the Balkans. When you face Ottomans (earlier the better), make them release Byzantium and vassal them. Feed cores back to Byz for cheap. Do not integrate Aragon through decision before they have 31 provinces (Preferably including Paris and other extremely expensive stuff). Might be that it's harder now, as the AE seems to have changed. In my Coptoman campaign every Sunni in the world (from Morocco to Brunei) wants to coalition against me for taking most of the Saudi Arabian area, Mamluks and half of Persia. Previously it would not be this bad. In Europe no-one gives a fly though. | ||

I can confidently say that they fixed rebels and made it make a lot more sense and added a lot of mechanics to tie it in with the rest of the game more. is the version you're talking about the autonomy and month 10% percentage chance adding version of rebels? | ||

Don't think I had a single rebellion that I had large difficulties with in the last 100 hours of play, most don't even manage to conquer a single province. Most in fact never spawn. And even the few that make it spawn under an army that's 1.5x as big. Maybe I just got better or more patient, but still... real France and England both fell to rebellions when both were really strong. I just can't see that happening in EU right now. | ||

I just can't see that happening in EU right now. honestly you can just take humanist + raise autonomy and with the right religion never have rebels at all. lategame ive seen some 90-100k stacks from france and shit though. | ||
