True, but I did refer to the 'unglamourous' small markets. Miami's a much more attractive prospect for a player than Denver/Charlotte/Milwaukee/these types of teams. Plus it helps they had a drawcard like Wade to attract other stars (whom they had to draft via the lotto!).
Basketball noobie here, it isn't played at all where I live.
Could someone answer me this: why isn't derrick rose's move when he injuried himself ilegal? I mean the jump he makes without letting the ball go before landing.

it's not illegal because he doesn't even take a step after the dribble and jump stops then jumps again to shoot
I don't think so.
It's called a "jump stop". As long as Rose lands on both feet simultaneously after the jump and then doesn't take another step (he can lift a foot but not place it back down), then it's not a violation.
However, this is the NBA, and players break this rule all the time.

Can't wait for the season to start, though it'll be awkward to see all of my precious bench mob scattered all around :<
.. and when did the Bulls sign Nazr Mohammed? I see it written in several articles, but I can't for the life of me find a source
AK is a nice addition. I could see him being useful to them as a shotblocker since none of their bigs can protect the rim. They better hope he's past his injury-prone days or that will be a reported 2yr/$20M down the toilet.

Thanks! Nazr is still listed as a OKC player most places, so I got confused..
Not too excited about our offseason moves, but I take solace in knowing they're all 1 year contracts, making us a big player during the 2014 offseason :D

Pretty sure you have to land on the opposite foot you jumped off of for it to be not a travel. If you land on the foot you left the ground with first, it is a travel.
Rose definitely traveled there. Its a difficult call to make so I am sure people dont bother risking calling it and getting it wrong (similar to traveling the conventional way).

No. If you don't land with both feet at once, it's a travel.
And of course you have to land on the opposite foot you jumped from.....think about that one a second. Huge jump off left foot, then land on the same foot? WTF

Looks like he landed both feet at once. No travel whatsoever.
