I guess depending on how Rivers turns out you could argue they'd have a young big 3 to build around, but I still have my reservations about how well EJ and Rivers will pair up. I could easily see them tanking another year, especially since the team would probably just barely squeak into the playoffs if they made it at all with their current roster. I'm not too clear on how it'll look, but my best guess is something like: PG: Rivers, Vasquez SG: Gordon, Xavier SF: Aminu, Warrick PF: Anderson, Smith C: Davis, Lopez Barring Gordon becoming Wade or Kobe-like, I don't see this team being anymore more than an 8th seed at best, with it being much more likely that they miss the playoffs.

The last one i bought only lasted me a month before i poke a hole on the side again, and I even get half size bigger this time thinking it would allow more room and i wouldn't break it like it did before. I'm no expert, but I would think that it'd help people to know what type of surface you play on (blacktop vs. gym floor) and what type of shoes you've already tried.

East: 1st tier: Heat 2nd tier: Celtics, Pacers 3rd tier: Nets, Knicks, Bulls - Sorry Bulls fans, but I need to see Rose play again before I put you up on the 2nd tier again. 4th tier: Sixers, Bucks, Raptors, Cavs,Hawks - These teams should be fighting for the last two playoff spots, with an edge to the Sixers and Bucks. Although Uncle Drew might put the cavs on his back, and the Raptors have been slowly upgrading their team, while improving their defense (tremendously). I'll have to see this new hawks team play before I make a judgment on them. Post J.J. their offense is going to look entirely different, and will probably be Smith/Teague centric. 5th tier: Pistons, Wizards, Magic, Bobcats - These teams should* be tanking. *The Wizards might take a leap forward this year with their vastly improved roster, but they need another good lottery pick before they can really construct a suitable playoff team. East is hard to predict though, so many subtle player movements that may or may not have a huge impact (Lou Williams to the Hawks for an example) I think even the Clippers and Grizz are fair game this year (depending on Randolph's play). The Lakers, Spurs and OKC are a class above but I really don't think there's much between the Clippers, Grizz, Nuggets, TWolves, Jazz, Mavs, Warriors. Suns and Rockets are plucky, but don't have enough talent for mine to be Playoff contenders. Grizz and Clips could be a tier above these guys but I don't see it as of yet. Randolph going down hurt the Grizz a lot last year--if he can get back to 2011 Playoff form then the Grizz will be good. The Clips really need to work on their D and Blake needs to continue his improvement. Also a lot depends on Odom's state of mind and whether or not Crawford and Hill have anything meaningful left to contribute (I think Hill does defensively but Crawford is past it and a bad buy for mine). I think the Lakers will be pretty ridiculous next year with the addition of Nash's shooting/passing. He's going to open up so many offensive options for them. They weren't far off OKC last year and I think those two teams match up pretty well now.

It's good that they got a backup PG, but I have my doubts about Bayless. They had problems playing Mayo at PG last season because he was not a very good playmaker and was better off scoring, and Bayless is pretty much the same thing. I still think they made a mistake when they traded Greivis Vasquez away because he did a pretty good job for them and is a solid playmaker. I also get the sense that Bayless is one of those guys who plays like a star when he's not one. That may be troublesome because the Grizzlies' strength is in their frontcourt and most of their offense should run through it. In general, the team will still have one of the best frontcourts in the league, and will have good depth at every position. Still one of the scariest opponents in the league IMO.

Granted Nash is going to help their offense but they still have no answer for OKC. They didn't improve defensively and I don't trust Mike Brown as a head coach. OKC is now more experienced and smarting from being beaten in the Finals. If anything, i think the gap may be wider by just a smidge.
