Legend of Dragoon has already won the thread.
I am not sure about Disgaea being an hidden gem. Its well know and has many sequels on PS2/PS3/PSP.
Wii: Xenoblade Chronicles, RPG I am not sure about its popularity in Japan and Europe but it wasn't released in NA because Nintendo though it wouldn't sell much. I had to import it from UK and mod my Wii to play it. This game will give you easily 120+ hours of gameplay with all the sidequests.

This game is absolutely incredible and I'd like to point out it was remasters for PS3 and runs in 1080p. I'm not one to place too much emphasis on lists, but IGN also considered this game #1 ps2 game ever released, which is only amazing because you'd expect a "typical" blockbuster to take the list.

when ever these threads start people dont seem to know what "hidden gem" means. Phoenix wright and 999 are like some of the most well loved games for the DS :/
for me a great hidden gem for the gamecube was Kirby air ride.
it got awful reviews and poor sales, but it was the most video game related fun i had in my childhood

SotC is niche, but it has had lots of press visibility nonetheless. There's even a PS3 remix that just shipped one month ago.
Gem yes, Hidden I don't think so..

Please assume that by "hidden" I mean not really as common/known to the average hardcore gamer It doesn't hurt to have a few semi hidden games.

So good :-)
Where RTS all started :-) "You must construct additional Pylons!"

RPG with a lot of depth that challenged not just mechanical skill in fights, but had various puzzles/mazes that required some thinking (to the mind of my 11 year old self, yes.) Very good story line too, with personality depth of characters that could have come out of a novel. Maybe i'm romanticizing the game because it was a big part of my childhood, but I feel it was damn good at least.
That game was absolutely fucking sick
This one flew under the radar for most people, but I thought it was awesome. Kind of a mixture of Pikimen and Animal crossing/ Rune factory.

not too many people i know play castlevania actually only like one other person does.

Custom Robo for Gamecube.
That shit was godlike.

And
Best goddamn single player of any RTS games I've ever played in my life. I get so wrapped up in the world, and the gameplay is fantastic to boot.
I so miss these games, T_T;
Bungie was the absolute boss before MS bought them.

I find the lack of Sega disturbing

Could go on, but I'll limit it here for now

Hours of entertainment!

I hope I'm not the only one that remembers the Bomberman series :x Atomic Bomberman was mediocre at best, but it was still fun to a 4 year old back then. It was the only thing my older siblings and I did that was considered "bonding". It was for PC
Edit: Bad image link

Seriously like 80 hours of gameplay. Epic good story and intresting characters. Inever seen anyone ever talking about this game on gaming sites

I picked it up as a pre-owned back when i was 13 or so (23 now) and found it really fun and quite addictive. Shit tons of different robots, with different fighting styles, set in huge and diverse arenas. It's basically DBZ, pokemon and gundam wing all mixed in with anime cut scenes, surprisingly it pulled it off incredibly well imo.

Too many new games in this thread. Needs more oldschool PC games!
