if you're into music overall (and not just rehashed classic rock), rock band etc doesnt cut it for difficulty or originality of songs automated perfect play of the hardest song in pop'n music the music basically makes the games and is the reason why players will come back to them ddr is pretty much the tip of the iceberg i just wish they were more popular here because there are so few ways to play them non-illegally (virtually nobody with real interest does so) tldr: japanese music games

but ok... I mean Thief being relatively unknown game ... how T.T PC Blue Byte's "Incubation" (a'la Syndicate, seriously go play it) Much ahead of the curve both graphically and gameplay was really rewarding, kinda more tightly packed Jagged Alliance but vs Aliens Oldschoolish "Fury of the Furries" which stole my early childhood. Well, "Raptor" by Apogee, there is available 2010 remake version of this on GOG, shoot em up that was one of the most played game around. Its hard to describe simple games, its like trying to say where's the fun of eating. Well you eat and your body produces chemicals blablabla. Same thing, you played the game and you were astonished how much joy simple shoot em up could give. Great Soundtrack, and the idea of upgrading your fighter. The Lost Vikings from Blizzard, yes we all know and love Blizzard for their WC/Diablo/SC franchises but Lost Vikings were one of the most intelligent games i ever played in my life and i didnt know till late 90's that it was made by Blizzard Duke Nukem 1 AND 2 were also awesome (yes those games existed, Duke Nukem 3d was not first). And now, this is what i call Hidden Gem, DEATH RALLY, simple racing car/shooter from RTS view but boy it was so fun, and despite playing it for YEARS i could never finish the last level. Great soundtrack and funny easter eggs, once i named my driver Duke Nukem and got schocked that my Character actually spoke some famous cheesy 1-liners. I suggest you all to just view the youtubes for this its worthwile to even glance on it. Thats tip of an iceberg tbh, just listed some of games that defined my childhood. And Kudos for Constructor, i could not remember the name of that game.

PS3: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=332769 Also, Wipeout HD. This is a very fun game for everyone and remains to this day one of the most skill-intensive games ever. The platinum achievement for this on PS3 is considered to be one of the hardest, if not the hardest, to get because unlike in many games where platinum requires you to grind for ages all of the hardest trophies in this game require actual skill and practice. Any person competent at this game should be able to get all the hardest trophies in a matter of a day. PC: Vampire: The Masquerade: Bloodlines One of the best RPGs to ever grace the video gaming world. Some indie PC titles worth mentioning: World of Goo Frozen Synapse Savage and Savage 2 @ bgx: Death Rally for life! Man, this game was SO awesome! I've spent countless hours playing it.

Gothic 2 + the addon Highly rated in Germany, outside not so much. You need some time to get used to the controls, but as soon as you do it is the second best RPG of the last decade imo(right behind Vampire 2, which Manitou mentioned)

Really takes advantage of dual analog controller, makes for some of the most fun I've had on a 3-D platformer (Haven't played super mario galaxy due to lack of wii).
