There really isn't any other comparison to draw. There are more Bird comparisons but Nowitzki isn't a transcendent passer like Bird was, nor does he create as good of shots for himself/teammates (instead he just makes ridiculous shots that would be horrendous looks if any other player were taking them).

Well I hate Lebron but what is he going to do? He's having a bad night and Wade is having a Jordanesque night. It's better than shooting 30 times and making your team lose (cough...cough... Kobe...) .
I bet at this point Dallas is praying for him to jack up bad shots, which is apparently what the media and the fans want from him.

Just hope DAL wins it: Then it's no question whos gonna get it Winning-Team-Joiners PLS GTFO Finals MVP was given to a non-champion before. To Jerry West. Not sure when, but I think it was against Boston? Not too sure on when and who it was against. Though it was just once

yea that was the 1960's, that's never happening again

While watching the 4th I didn't know Lebron played for Miami, seriously. WTF, if you're acting like a ball handler then initiate the goddamn offense. Seriously, a triple double is due. No, QUADRUPLE double, and I'll be happy.

3/11 - 8 points What a stud!

i feel the same way since the warriors are just so entertaining to watch. it makes me really sad though that they simply arent there yet in terms of overall skill. i honestly think theyre missing 1 piece and thats a solid center. as for monta / iggy, i just dont think thats even a really beneficial trade. monta hasnt stopped improving. every single season hes noticeably improved whether it be in skill or in decision making. i dont see why he cant keep improving and eventually blow iggy out of the water. honestly if i were the gm i would really try to keep monta curry and david lee together and build around them.

There is no way the Warriors are going to be able to compete without changing their team up a little. Giving away one of the guards for someone who in addition to his scoring/slashing skills can actually defend is not that bad in my opinion. I think Monta is worth more than Iggy but the direction is the right one in my opinion.

It is definitely strange how Lebron is playing much more like a playmaker giving the ball up all the time when he would normally just attack. Every series before the finals Lebron looked like the best player on the Heat, Lebron took over 4th quarters vs Boston and Chicago when Wade was struggling especially in the Chicago series.
Lebron's play is most likely intentional, and he will probably change it up next game and attack the rim more rather then just passing too much.

The Ellis-Iguodala trade makes sense to me because of team needs. GS cannot become competitive team with a backcourt of Ellis and Curry, they're just too small together. I'm not sure if Ellis is the one that they should trade away, but one of them has to go.
Iguodala is a great do-it-all player who can immediately provide the Warriors with an elite perimeter defender, while also giving them someone who can make plays for others. The defense is really key, because GS will never go anywhere unless they start playing defense, and Iguodala is an amazing defender. I could see Curry playing off the ball on some occasions with Iguodala running the offense, which he can do very effectively with his perimeter shooting.
As for as the Sixers, they need to improve somehow and they've got two very capable SFs behind Iguodala in Thaddeus and Turner, with Nocioni as well. Jrue is a big-ish PG, so they might be able to get away with playing Ellis alongside him. Ellis would give the Sixers an elite scorer, which they need, at a position that they're not very strong at, SG.
Iguodala is not a guy who can be your #1 option, that's not his strength, and PHI doesn't have anyone else who fits the bill. Ellis is that type of player and give the Sixers more of what they need. Iguodala, in GS, would have Curry and Lee as guys who can score a lot of buckets, while he fills the gaps. This looks ultimately like a trade of scoring for utility for teams that could use help in those areas.

I bet at this point Dallas is praying for him to jack up bad shots, which is apparently what the media and the fans want from him. They want him to be aggressive and attack the rim, not jack up bad shots. You can never really blame a team loss entirely on an individual, but Lebron's performance - or lack thereof - was a huge reason why the Heat lost. He simply wasn't there, uninvolved and uninterested, especially towards the final stretch.

Now they are talking about Iggy going to the Clippers.

God damn the Clippers would be scary with Iggy. I dont think even OKC could stop that potential juggernaut.

Or he's scoring 8 again and the Heat are going home in Game 6. It's one or the other, that's for sure.

As a Clippers fan, that trade would be awesome
PG: MoWill, Bledsoe SG: Gordon, Foye SF: Iguodala, Gomes, Aminu PF: Griffin, Smith C: DeAndre, Diogu
Yummy!

I've noticed that Mavs fan aren't booing Lebron the way the Bulls' and Celtics' did, which can really get him going. Do you think they recognized that? Are fans en masse capable of such a thing?

Kaman for Iguodala? If that happens... wow, such a steal. That's such an obscene combination of athletic talent.
I really think they could use a pass-first PG with that lineup -- they should trade for Nash!

lebron gets so much better with extra criticism on him.. i love it

Mavs hate the Heat/Wade much more than they hate Lebron.
In the short run Monta for AI2 is good for both teams, but AI2 has a much less common skillset.
