Rose hit his elbow before the ball left Wade's hands, which was the foul called. The intrusion on the space and being under his landing zone is also cause for a foul but didn't matter.

I guess i hope the mavs win just so Dirk and Kidd can get a championship. LBJ will win one eventually.

Fanwise Bulls vs Heat was the fan analogue of Good vs Evil as well as the MVP battle. The series before that was team fundamentals of teamwork and chemistry (and the Perkins trade) vs Evil/disjointed talent. The Celtics seemingly coming out of nowhere again to sweep New York. We had resurrected of the Spurs on their last march for glory against the best gambler underdog, ending in an upset. The most picked 1st round upset, Mavs (lost in 1st round to the Spurs last year) vs Blazers. Chris Paul putting on one of the all time great playoff performances to keep a skeleton team in it. Tons of OKC young team of destiny storylines. Devastating losses that redefined how we see teams (Orlando vs Atlanta, Mavs vs Lakers). And it goes on and on, and now we have Miami / Dallas redux. Only now the stakes are much much higher for both sides, justification vs redemption. The same build your team the right/normal way philosophy. And on top of that, there's been a ton of off the court issues. The gay marriage/closeted player escalating through the NHL to the suns GM to Kobe and Noah to Nash and Barkley. And Barkley and has been outstandingly talkative and Pippen's now causing more controversy. Then there's the lockout, possible retirement. And of course the grand team experiment that is the heat, is collecting players above the max salary better than getting pricier role players? And of course, the only thing on people's head is officiating. Ok...

Should they win, it would be nothing less than a fairy tale. But tbh, the heat look to dominate the mavs especially in defense. The Heat have got NOBODY that comes close to matching up with Dirk (not that anyone really does). Dallas offense is so much better than Chicago's that it isn't even funny. I expect a better series than we just saw. Will go at least 6 games.

When I first heard Lebron was coming, I was a bit hesitant because I felt like Lebron would take the team over, and also I was not that big a fan of Lebron's game. That has changed over the course of the season, and especially after the Bulls series. I still don't think Wade has conceded the team to Lebron, I just think Chicago is particularly good at stopping Wade, I think Deng gives Wade a huge problem just being on the floor (not necessarily guarding him), and Lebron went out of his mind in game 5. People quickly forgot the Celtics series when Wade once again willed his team to win with 35 point games and being the only guy who can do anything for extended periods of time, even with Lebron on the floor. On another note, some of the posters in this thread are silly, especially those trying everything they can to discredit great players with nonsense. I hope I am never as angry about an opposing team/players winning that it comes off as affecting the very fabric of my life, which appears to be the case for some of these posters.

He'll still be in the pool unless someone makes some kind of a mistake. The jury is still out on how good he'll be, he's not even 6 feet tall and he doesn't have transcendental court vision a la CP3.

You didn't watch the play carefully enough. Lebron rebounds the ball. Rose goes for the steal. Rose hits either Lebron's hand or the ball. This causes the ball to stay up closer to Lebron's chest. As James comes down from the rebound and brings his head down (looking forward, instead of looking up) he hits the ball with his head. Thinking it was contact from Rose, he sells it. I'm not sure if I agree with you about flopping. I agree that the league should punish flopping. But until they do, I can't blame a player for doing everything within the rules to win.

This would be such an incredible win for Dirk. It would really legitimize his career (like it or not, top tier players are judged harshly for not winning championships), it would be revenge against the Heat for that travesty of an '06 series, and I would like to think that there's a chance for another team to win a championship in the next 5 years other than the Heat (let's face it, if they win this year with this team, they will find better pieces and continue to win).
