Nice to play it without black bars on the screen, but my Steam didn't patch it despite the achieves showing up.

Kotor2 with the restoration mod is one of the best RPGs I have ever played. I will probably buy it on Steam now and replay it for like the 100th time.

Steam has created its own excuses for sales. "The SteamOS Sale" all the games work on Linux/SteamOS
http://store.steampowered.com/sale/steamosweekend/
games like:
Cities: Skylines Borderlands: THe Pre Sequel Middle-earth™: Shadow of Mordor™ ARK: Survival Evolved Metro Redux Bundle
headline the sale.

I guess its not bad if you don't already own one of the games, sadly I own most of the games I want and the ones I do want are too new for uber sales so I lose interest in them.

HOLY SHIT HALO WARS BY CREATIVE ASSEMBLY COMING TO PC

The current Humble Bundle on sale has Deadcore on it. It's a beautiful and excellently done platformer that encourages finding unintentional shortcuts and speedrunning. The movement feels great and the levels are well done. I can't recommend it highly enough if you like first person platforming. And, as it is the lowest level of contribution on Humble, you can get if for just $1!

Is Dark Souls really that great? Thinking of getting the Prepared to Die version for PC. Never played it before, worried it's a bad port.
|
With a controller it's fine on PC, it's awful with keyboard and mouse.
|
I played it over at a friends house years ago and thought I would liked to have a mouse and keyboard instead of the controller he gave me.

It is a bad port. Most of the stuff that is bad about it has been fixed by the community.
Get a controller, install dsfix, and Dark Souls is an awesome game. If you haven't been living under a rock, you should know the general idea and concepts, and if those appeal to you, get it. It's not like it is expensive either. If 20 bucks or whatever it costs now is too much for you, simply wait for the next sale.

Dark Souls is one of the best games ever created. The port sucks, but the negatives associated with that are worth putting up with.
