So an entire city made to craft a pattern? yay, still random ass ending and way too short:/

An entire city made to get a pattern to craft a sword then....

Why is it impossible for me to just install this game? Anyone else getting missing data error or lock ups during install?

Well, I restarted the game, picking the first dialogue option this time (little did I know that picking the one about the dragon would propel me a good 1 hour into the game...), went through the first two sections, got to the fire part again and got through the fire two times without any issue whatsoever (twice because I plummeted to my death in the next bit...). That absolutely has to be a bug. I did nothing different this time than I did the other twenty-something times.
Thank god I can actually play the damn game now. And it's pretty awesome. The artwork alone is putting Bioware to utter shame.

+ Show Spoiler +i seem to be stuck in act 2, i must get into philippas house for the main quests, but there are guards outside her house so I can't enter, also I can't seem to find Iorveth for the succubus quest, I found him earlier, but he isn't in the elven district now... help

I just got in aid'rn or whatever and the game is already way better than DA2 was, but I do miss the card collecting that was in the wticher 1 ><

Really minor act 2 spoilers: + Show Spoiler +That's not her house- if you swing right a bit, and then up, it should be there. He leaves at some point, and you can't complete the quest. Might want to check your journal to be sure he hasn't left. If he has, the quest will be failed.

I'm kind of disappointing with the difficulty of the game. I wish there was something harder than hard, but not as insane as... insane. I went through the entire game on hard without using a single potion or ehancement or mutagen (never even looked into how the last 2 work). I was hoping it would force me to eventually but it never did.

God, I am so pissed + Show Spoiler [Chapter 2] +I am stuck at the fight with the draug part in the mist. I put all my talents in the alchemy tree, but there is no opportunity to drink potions/make bombs before that fight. There is also no way to save right before that fight so I had to do that really boring part with Selkirk three times just to get an idea how to fight the boss. So annoying!

Somehow I don't believe you.

Why's that? Have you beaten the game?
Perhaps its just that the magic tree is alot better than the other trees? I dont see how anyone could ever have trouble in the game with the enhanced Quen sign. Perhaps ill replay using the alchemy tree.

You didn't beat the game playing hard ALL the time? Because I struggled with 2 of the boss fights in NORMAL lol. I even tuned the difficulty down to easy for the last boss although I could've beaten it in normal (with patience )
And yeah Quen is OP from start to end. Aard is completely useless; even yrden is more useful. Igni, like in TW1 starts out largely useless and then borderline OP (with potions). I'm not sure if magic tree in general is OP though, as you could just improve quen and take the useful talents of the other trees.
That's what I'm going to do now in my second play through. Hardmode

He is right. I finished the game on hard. I'm planning to play again after the patch comes but I want it too be harder. But not like Insane, cuz It's not what I want it's kinda silly.
Maybe a difficulty mod?

Yeah i think quen is just super OP. Every boss was the same with it. Hit the thing till your quens are all gone, then just run around for a bit and let vigor recharge and repeat.
like you said I did magic and just focused on quen and then the rest went into swords. AOE damage from enhanced quen and whirling swords (or whatever its called) made any none boss fight a joke.
I really wanted to have to like, worry about my gear or make potions but it just never came. I remember witcher 1 on the hardest mode you really had to conjure potions to survive. In witcher 2 i collected countless herbs and leather and other crap and never used ANY of it. Kind of dissapointing. I guess its time to try out the alchemy tree
Of course there is insanity mode but that really is just a joke not worth anyones time.

Alright, I've tried to find it on their website and saw the system requirements here, but I have to ask! Is it available for mac :D
|
Well, just finished it... what a let down. Nothing is especially resolved, and it just ends abruptly. Boss fights were terribly uninteresting... sigh.

I don't think any of your witcher skills transfer over... and if they do, then I'd be pissed, given how hard it is if you go a certain path.
