For those of you who never experienced this in the Witcher 1, the mod was so good they hired the guy who made it to be a part of CDProjectRed. He has now made a mod for the Witcher 2. details I played for about an hour and I love it, the combat is so much faster and more fluid than the last time I played it. I don't understand the parry mechanic yet though and blocking would have been confusing if I didn't read in advance that it looks like a spellcast instead of a weapon block now.

I just started playing witcher 2 and this seems to fix pretty much all of the big problems that I had with character development and combat. Thanks for sharing!!! Saw this at the bottom: Removed mashable quick time events. Single button QTEs that can end with player’s death can be disabled from game options. God I love this studio

God I love this studio It's not Projekt RED who's behind it, but yeah, removing QTE's is a relief. I'll probably try playing through again myself, even though the game doesn't have the best of replay values.

Mini review in spoiler, but felt it didn't add anything. + Show Spoiler + So as a mini review I would give it 6/10. Good graphics though I didn't like the art direction. Somewhat fun combat system for 10 minutes, passable story, a lot of backtracking for side quests. Good sound. Some bugs remaining even after 2 years of patching, getting stuck in walls, game crashing, items disappearing etc. Somewhat immersive environment, biggest complaint I had was the sex scenes (played too many games in that genre I guess), either ignore them fully or develop them more. The choices did matter more than in most other games on the plus side. Another thing was in a sneaking event you were instantly killed if discovered, while if discovered later you could fight your way out? Oh and locked doors. I can throw fireballs or blast out walls. But I can't burn a chest or open a door. I can accept walls not being breakable since they havn't made the content, but doors or chests...

It feels even more silly when my opponents can block me. I'm soo frustrated, I like the story and the conversations but the rest of the game really is pretty shitty sometimes.

You see your sword go through enemies but for some reason you only damage the one you were targeting. You take tons of damage from enemies but enemies barely take any damage, despite the fact that you're supposed to be a swordmaster with superhuman reflexes and skill.
