I'm so sad they don't have hand-to-hand as a skill anymore. Imagine the awesome perks they could create.

It's so damn worthless. You can do up to Masters level locks with absolutely no points no problem if you have a bit of practice. It's really not that hard. I use ~3 picks per master lock, sure, but it's better than burning 5 or 6 perks into a tree pointlessly. Quick question: How on earth do you solve master locks?! I ended up using at least 30 per lock! Patience Lightly tap A and D as you move the pin. You should really only have to see the lockpick quiver once, VERY slightly before you move on. It needs to be EXTREMELY precise at the Master Level. Once you begin to find the area where it turns, you need to start lightly tapping. Move it, then stop. Move more, then stop. Basically turn it slightly, and a bit more (like a quarter of a second longer) every time until you find the precise spot. oh man, picking locks on the pc version must be a nightmare i had to get to get the 360 version because my pc is made of tin can and string and picking most locks does not give me too much trouble, just tilt the stick really carefully and you don't break the pick im actually really surprised that lock picking is done by the keyboard and not the mouse
A and D turn the key, you move the lockpick itself with the mouse.

I am lvl 18 rogue. Sneak is awesome and very smooth in this game, plus with dual savagery making 2x dagger attacks +50% dmg, and sneak attack x15 dmg with daggers, plus using enchanting, i am already doing a ton of damage, I have sneak around 50 right now, but can't wait for 70 to get the shadow warrior perk, sounds awesome to be able to hide in plain sight in front of someone. you can get it up to x30 backstab damage with the right gloves, it's glorious! + Show Spoiler + the gloves only give double to backstab. Backstab is only x6 but u can do it wirg aby one-handed weapon, sk it doesnt ha e to be a dagger. There is a perk that gives you x15 backstab with daggers, with that and the gloves you can reach x30. I quoted you but its to everybody. The Shrouded gloves say that they double " backstab" Backstab is a perk that gives you 6x damage with a one-handed weapon The perk that gives you 15x damage with a dagger is called "assasins blade" The gloves do not give 30x bonus with a dagger. edit: cool that I am the only guy that took the trouble to actually read what it did
and i tested it myself :o

Has anyone completed The Forbidden Legend Quest? I'm at the last part in Reachwater Rock. I placed the amulets, killed the 3 people and now I'm stuck in the room. There was a rumble sound after I killed them though nothing happened and now I'm stuck in the room with no way out reloaded 3 times same thing happened...
Edit: well that was strange I loaded a save point right after I killed the last person and this time a person spawned to forge the amulet :\

A million other people including myself have been sneak critting for x30. Why does this guy not get the picture zzz

I dont think he understand that "backstab" refers to any stab that happens in the back of an opponent with daggers.

Speaking of which I love the last perk in Sneaking. Completely own someone with a x30 crit, even if you get spotted you just reset aggro and sneak rape someone again. Too hilarious.

Im having some trouble with the main quest: + Show Spoiler +After hearing about Esbern from Delphine I went to Riften and got into the thieves guild. It says on guides that I am supposed talk to Vekel the man to find Esbern, but I don't have any option regarding that. All I get is buying, doing a mission (finding some books) and him telling me about the guild. Also I don't have any quest about finding Esbern, nor do I get one from Delphine. Anyone know what I can do to progress?

I had the same thing, then I shouted at the dragon and absorbed its power and noone gave a damn, I found it kinda funny.

By the way has anyone found a more powerful type of dragon than elder dragon?

Seek help with main quest bug/glitch
+ Show Spoiler +Has anyone any idea how to call the dragon that you need to trap at dragon reach. I put myself into the corner of the balcony, call for him, he comes but stay fairly high in the sky and never reach close to the balcony, so he flies for 10 sec and just fuck off. So i'm screwed, unable to trap him and question him, anyone can help?

I had 3 dragon skeletons in the main area of the college, but then they started glitching out and sank into the ground.

this is my build atm. conjuration alteration one handed. but i could still be viable with illusion/restoration but it would take ages to kill anything. im playing on master and at the lower levels everything was ridiculously hard but at the higher levels im doing fine (29). i also got alot of health and magika for each level. if you dont use an offensive perk and u only get magika you will have to rely on conjurations to do damage almost all the time and if you are playing on master you are gona be so frustrated watching you minions slowly slowly slowly chip away at their health. also some enemies can turn your conjurations against you and then your in very bad place. still viable with dragon shouts tho to get tiny bits of damage out before they turn your pets

Well I was already in the thieves guild before that quest and it didn't affect it. So you can load a save where you are not in the guild yet and see if that works out.

Like, can I have a flame, storm, and frost atronach at the same time, plus raise zombies every time they kill something? Also, I want to run around basically naked, and when an enemy approaches, I paralyze it, then pop out about 3 pets, bound armor, and a bound sword/axe/bow, and start beating on it, while making nearby enemies start fighting each other.

After I finish up my Paladin character (thanks to the person earlier in the thread for the idea), going hardcore spellsword. Bumping up 1h weapons, dual wield specialization, conjuring swords (plus the damage bonus for conjured weapons) and just tearing through errything.

I know during my main quest at one point I had to finish a side quest I had started to free a npc up to continue the main quest. (Eg, when I talked to him he only had option to continue side quest until I finished it, then I could talk about main quest)
