That, or smith them into jewellry if you combine them with Gold/Silver ingots. Then you could enchant them to make necklaces/rings suited to your build/play-style.

you can get it up to x30 backstab damage with the right gloves, it's glorious! + Show Spoiler +

dark brotherhood.
x30!? Surely that just 1 shots anything...? (Provided you're using decent weapons ofc)
it only works with daggers and their damage is a little lower than swords/axes/maces but still, yeah, it does kill most if not all enemies in one hit but doing melee stealth attacks isn't that simple sometimes, so i wouldn't say it's too strong

It's so damn worthless. You can do up to Masters level locks with absolutely no points no problem if you have a bit of practice. It's really not that hard. I use ~3 picks per master lock, sure, but it's better than burning 5 or 6 perks into a tree pointlessly.
Quick question: How on earth do you solve master locks?! I ended up using at least 30 per lock!
Patience
Lightly tap A and D as you move the pin. You should really only have to see the lockpick quiver once, VERY slightly before you move on. It needs to be EXTREMELY precise at the Master Level. Once you begin to find the area where it turns, you need to start lightly tapping. Move it, then stop. Move more, then stop. Basically turn it slightly, and a bit more (like a quarter of a second longer) every time until you find the precise spot.
oh man, picking locks on the pc version must be a nightmare
i had to get to get the 360 version because my pc is made of tin can and string and picking most locks does not give me too much trouble, just tilt the stick really carefully and you don't break the pick
im actually really surprised that lock picking is done by the keyboard and not the mouse

Lockpicking is stupidly easy to level anyways since you gain experience for every lockpick you break and the thieves guild fences have like 30 of them in store, just mass-buy and break them on purpose.
Sneak is way too good. I am playing both a one hand + shield warrior and a sneaky archer and it is 10 times easier as an archer. It also is quite stupid, once you have like 3 points into the perk that makes you harder to detect you can stand 2 meters next to your opponents if the environment is dark and they won't find you even if you fire an arrow at them and stand right in front of them.

It was even more ridiculous in oblivion. I like how at least in this game when your bad at sneak your actually bad at it.
How is the game on the 360 compared to the PC version? I played the pc version when i was home but i wont be home again untill christmas,, and i want to play the damned game,, so i kinda want to buy the game for the 360 and have someone mail me my xbox,,

=/
framerate is way smoother than oblivion and fallout 3 and the game still looks a lot better
i compared pc and 360 fallout 3 at a friend's house side by side once and not only did his look a lot better on the lighting, but he got way higher fps as well
skyrim on the other hand is very, very smooth, which surprised me quite a bit. the only place i get fps drops is in towns when i have like 50 people in view at once, but never in combat.
i've had some crashes but the game isn't nearly as unstable as some pc users have been complaining, in particular there aren't any bizarre control issues like i've been hearing about quite a bit
the only thing that aggravates me is there's only a favorites menu, no hotkeying items, and for some reason you can't rebind the favorites menu (i'd really prefer to take it off the dpad)
that aside i don't think you'll be missing out on much aside from initial nude mods, it will be a few months before some solid gameplay mods come out. once i can finally afford to build a decent computer i'll pick pc skyrim up, i figure by then the game will be down to like $30 in price
i think it's pretty clear the game engine was designed for console first and then ported for pc, whereas with oblivion and fallout the reverse was true.

I'm doing one in Markarth where I need to find Margret's evidence or something, but she has nothing.
Go to the inn, then go to the upper room in the first hallway on the left, look in the end table (maybe just on top?) for Margret's Journal. Took me a solid 30 minutes poking around the place to find it :\

And by that I mean, for example, I want to make a mage who levels up NOTHING but magic the entire game, no health, no stamina. Never use anything but spells and conjured weapons, and no normal armor. Basically, can you make anything work if you try hard enough, or would something like what I'm suggesting be just laughably bad, and unable to get past anything.
Why wouldn't a full mage work?
I mean you get at least one meatshield to carry with you at all times.
I guess I should have been more specific about my "troll build" I want to do when I get this game. I want to go, like, alteration/conjuration/illusion/restoration/etc, no real offensive spells, just conjure weapons/armor/minions and raise zombies, basically a D2 necro. Run around mostly naked, and with no weapons, just an infinite mana pool.

You can also ask about it in town and people will point you to SilverBlood inn. Or maybe I just asked the inn keeper can't remember.
I didn't find any evidence on Nepo or Thalmor though, although I sneaked into their houses :/

Is there anyplace to find information on all the shouts yet that actually has like....detail, on the shouts and what they do exactly, as opposed to literal copy paste of the spell description in game?
