I remember when everyone in Chicago was excited for Tyrus because of plays like that.Ya I really hope they don't cancel it either, and definitely good ending today. I can't tell if the fight takes place in next week's season finale but at least it looks like they are setting it up for a second season (hopefully). On another note: Javale McGee= MassHysteria Wesley Matthews= Ace what nowww son, this is my house. ![]() jp man <3

Had more natural athletic ability than just about anyone ever at his position. Such a great scorer, at one point in his career I'd say that no one scored easier than he did. So smooth. He's never kept himself in shape, he now looks like a marshmallow with 4 toothpicks sticking out. Had no physical or mental toughness, no killer instinct. Doesn't seem to take any pride. So, I gotta disagree with you Anti, VC has been a scrub for 13 years. There are tons of physically talented players. Few make the nba and fewer have the motivation to take it to the next level. See James White. + Show Spoiler + http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vR2XFpaoOxo 4:45 Jordan's the exception, not the rule. A lot of people are waiting for Lebron to have the Jordan/Kobe desire (Lebron's competitiveness is good, but not great) to accompany his talent.

Also maybe lack of focus but he has a ton more heart than vince carter ever did, all one has to do is rewatch the 4th quarter vs the spurs video.

Yeah, well said, for all the Derrick Rose fanboys and that "carrying his team" noise - take a look at T-Mac's 2002-2003 season with the Magic, then look at that roster. Kazaam. B-Ref for T-Mac: http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/m/mcgratr01.html Roster for 2002-2003: http://www.hoopsstats.com/basketball/fantasy/nba/orlando-magic/team/roster/03/20/1

He was 6'8'' with a 7'2'' wingspan, 40 inch vert, fantastic range on his jumper, strong vision, ankle breaking cross over and, obviously, "dunkability." Unfortunately, injuries, bad luck and "lack of focus" (I don't totally buy this one,) hurt his legacy. Vince Carter might actually make the Hall of Fame, so yeah...weird player. I dont think he should. He hasnt done much since leaving Toronto.

Rose is the MVP this year I'm the biggest Miami Heat fan, but even I can see this.

I think he's always been insanely overrated. He used to take the stupidest shots, made a living with his off screen jumpers, which weren't actually that good. I guess it's the kind of player that's good only in really tough defensive games, where it's so hard to score that you might think "oh well might as well jack up a contested fadeway 3". To be fair I think most if not all star wing players are ridiculously overrated, not just him.

If you had given T-Mac: 39 games of Joakim Noah, 47 games of Carlos Boozer and 68 games of Taj Gibson, he would have won 53-55 games. There is nothing magical about Derrick Rose, his teammates are good. I think he's always been insanely overrated. To be fair I think most if not all star wing players are ridiculously overrated, not just him. You sound like David Berri. Wing players are overrated in the sense that they are the "sexiest" and most "ballerific" players. No one wants to play like Shaq in the park, you don't brag that your game is like Kevin Love's...you want to cross fools up. That sentiment translates to some over valuation of wing players. BUT...scoring on the perimeter is a necessary skill in basketball, as is getting your own shot up - both skills which T-Mac possessed abundantly. You can't win basketball games with 5 Luis Scola's or 5 Dwight Howards...maybe 5 Hakeems would do it...but my point is, wing players are a necessity and while jump shots will invariably be less efficient than post moves, that doesn't mean they are unnecessary. Don't mean to pile on you in particular, but this is sort of a trend in the analytics community that bothers me.
