The purpose of the event is to have fun and spice things up in the Minecraft world. Q: What is with the iron block? A: The iron block is what you want to get so that you can redeem it for a prize. If you win an event you will win one or more iron ingot(s). After you have collected enough from the events to make an iron block you can give it to me and claim your prize. Q: What is the prize? A: The prize is ingame currency (I haven't decided how much, but it will be a lot) Q: So there will be multiple events? A: Yes, there will be multiple events ranging from scavenger hunts, to boat races, to building competitions. Q: When is the first event? A: Today! Scroll down below. --- Scavenger Hunt! Instructions: Below are three screen shots. The object of the event is to figure out where exactly I am in those pictures and find that exact spot in the game. When you find the spot, there will be a sign and a chest underneath it. You must PM me the phrase that is on the sign to confirm that you have actually found the spot. Then destroy the sign and redeem your prize from the chest, which is one iron ingot. In other news, Mino finished scripting a mIRC bot to handle Spleef Matches. It handles everything from W/L to ELO! Thanks to Mino, spleef just got a lot more fun (and less time-consuming for me, who happens to be a stickler for accuracy and ratings)! No more calculating ELO with notepad and calc.exe. That being said, Due to lack of turnout, the aforementioned Tournament has been canceled. There was only one interested player. + Show Spoiler [expand] + I'm taking signups anywhere, so post in thread, PM me, or talk to me in game before the above time and I'll put you in the bracket. There will be a maximum of 32 slots, so sign up early! Format: -DOUBLE ELIMINATION! *1v1 on a suitable 20x20 square spleef field. *Bo3. Semis Bo5. Finals Bo7. *Third place match will be a Bo5. *If two players in the Loser's Bracket have already met each other for battle in this tournament, their previous score will carry over, and their match in the Loser's Bracket will be a Bo7 instead of the typical Bo3. Prizes: 1st place: 300 in-game currency 2nd place: 100 in-game currency 3rd place: 25 in-game currency Remember, your rating is affected more by tournament matches than by everyday battles. We hope to see you there! Also, I finished the giant maze I've been working on. It's made of over 10,000 blocks of dirt. It's 40x40 with 4 floors. If you like a challenge, this is it. How to get to the maze: /warp jump follow torches up the steps. Be sure to have a location ready to warp out to in case you get stuck. You can find one by typing /home, /spawn, or /listwarps. This is part of a new moderation system I'm rolling out at some point tomorrow, which in turn is part of my effort to get the server online with full access 24/7. I've managed to bump it up from 16 hours a day to 24/7 for some players and ~20 hours a day for everyone else. It's going slower than I had hoped, but it's getting there. You guys can also thank the TL staff for their support in regards to anti-griefing, cause I'm sure there would be a lot more griefers if there were no repercussions here on the forums for doing it. Between that and the willingness of my current mods in donating their time to help moderate the server, I'm feeling more and more comfortable with leaving the server up while I'm away. And yes, I seem to be on Valve time, but I'm getting there! | ||

If the map does restart what happens to all the stuff in our chests and what not? We just have to forget about it? If it resets do we keep what is in our inventory? Just seeing if I should stop building my city if it is all going to vanish along with all the mats in a week. I am sure I am asking too many questions. xD | ||

Personally, I'm in favour of this. You get to build new things, you get to experience the new stuff added in the patch (here's me hoping for damage, and monsters... meaning no more huge elaborate structures in the middle of no where and more of a huge sprawling city / small towns, all dedicated to getting resources to keep everyone alive from the new monsters. I dunno, I'm excited and I like when the server resets. Previous reset I had Insanity House, a huge complex with a 400x400 branch mine under it. This server im making a 200x100x64 pit to make a city in. Next one, dunno what I'm going to do... hopefully make a sick city with people to live in it, i dunno. We will see what happens. | ||
