Server Requirements
Member of teamliquid.net for a minimum of thirty (30) days Minimum of ten (10) useful posts on the forums
Here's how things will work (subject to change). If you meet the above criteria you are considered a member of the server. This allows you normal access to everything including commands, build rights, locations, etc with few restrictions. If you do not meet the above criteria you are considered a guest on the server and will have free access to join and look around, but will have extremely limited permissions and will not be able to build or modify any of the main areas of the world. This is so you guys can show off stuff to non-TLers and also prevents public players from doing anything.
Previous donors are exempt from these requirements and other exceptions will be made. You guys will also be able to play with friends/family who are not members of TL. I'll post more details later but I just wanted to give people time to meet the requirements and stuff.

- Finalized multi-world support including Skylands and Nether.

THE SERVER
Welcome to Liquidcraft - a magical Minecraft destination exclusively for the Team Liquid community! Veterans and new players alike will join each other in a world full of adventure, terror, and everything in between. Oh, and blocks. Lots and lots of blocks.
Some of you may be reading this thread, unfamiliar with what's going on. For those who don't know, Minecraft, in it's raw glory, is a sandbox game where you build creations with blocks. The entire world can be destroyed, replaced, or moved and molded into whatever you want it to be. There are also monsters, a crafting system, and PvP on multiplayer servers.
Unfortunately, the gameplay is rather bland aside from building. Monsters are terrifying night one, but become trivial very quickly. The crafting system isn't very intuitive and even the latest addition, potions, gets stale rather quickly. Mojang has tried to spice some things up with the inclusion of rare-spawning strongholds and dungeons which contain additional treasures, but even these don't feel very epic after the original shock of finding one wears off - moreso because the loot earned from these generally doesn't serve a purpose other than cosmetic (records, for example). Last but not least, while Minecraft does have a functional PvP system, it consists of you fighting your opponent with a sword and/or bow while simultaneously battling against the evil lag monster. It's extremely basic and involves nothing more than spamming your mouse button while you autoattack your target.
We here at Liquidcraft feel that Minecraft can be so much more than just a sandbox game with a few basic features tacked on. Thus I present to you, new and old players alike, the world of Liquidia.
Once a peaceful land, the world of Liquidia has been plagued by monsters, ravaged by warring factions, and its very existence threatened to be torn apart by great evils. While most regions remain safe for the time being, the destruction and chaos has already consumed some areas and promises to destroy more if not stopped.
Embark on a journey through a dynamic world as epic as you choose it to be. Whether you wish to be a hero and save the world from destruction, a villain who actively fights to see the world end, or simply a bystander who wants to enjoy the here and now - this server will accommodate you.
THE FEATURES
Experience an ever changing world! New content will be created and pushed to the server on a frequent basis, including new zones, new gameplay mechanics, and new blocks and items. This server has a storyline and it will evolve based on how the players want it to.
Quests! Complete various quests to earn reputation, rewards, and unlock additional content.
Dungeons! No, not the crappy default ones. Built-from-scratch, privately-instanced mini-worlds complete with custom blocks, custom monsters, storylines, and bosses. Oh, and most importantly of all... useful loot when you complete them.
Multi-world! Tired of playing around in the overworld? Why not try the Nether? Oh... tired of that too? How about the Skylands? Perhaps a world that is entirely underground? With a massive main world plus additional worlds for dungeons, quest hubs, PvP, and building everyone should have a place to call home.
Custom blocks, items, and monsters! Tired of how easy zombies are to slay? How about ones that breath fire? Tired of swords that simply swing? How about ones that swing fire? Tired of blocks that just sit there looking pretty? How about ones that... oh wait. Well, you get the idea.
Storylines! Follow along with what are most likely poorly-written storylines as you quest or complete dungeons. They won't be winning any Oscars, but they do add some atmosphere to certain zones and areas.
Economy! Fully implemented economic system for buying, selling, and trading. Some features of the server also use the economy system such as the casino/amusement park, certain forms of transit, and player-owned land in cities.
NPCs! Nobody should feel alone while playing a multiplayer game. Thus, we have incorporated NPCs to make you think you have friends while walking through a city or town. Players will likely be able to spawn their own NPCs to give a more robust feeling to their structures.
PvP! While not activated in most parts of the world, we do have PvP areas - including an entire world dedicated to scripted PvP events and minigames such as spleef, capture the flag, and mob arenas.
Character progression! Experience system which allows you minor perks for things such as mining and farming. Unfortunately we're not going to hand out broken perks like most public RPG/experience plugins do (such as double drops, increased block breaking speed, removal of fall damage, etc) but there will be rewards for reaching certain levels.
To clarify a few things... a) This is not a PvP server, but you will be able to PvP and enjoy yourselves here. It simply isn't the main focus. b) All features are completely optional. If you do not wish to do quests or dungeons you will not be at a disadvantage to other players. Sure, they will get some mind-blowingly awesome weapons and armor (not useable in PvP) but there are no gameplay perks like increased speed, enhanced block breaking, etc. If your desire is to simply build on the server you will be able to do that without being handicapped at all. In fact, the additional content is really only there to provide you guys with something to do if you need a break from your current project. It's to keep you from getting burnt out and is a side-focus of the server much like PvP is.
Also, not all of the above features will be in at launch. Some of them, such as dungeons, require massive built-from scratch plugins and a LOT of work (we have four dungeons so far, with some taking dozens of hours of work before plugins and scripting. Others, such as the Skylands world (which includes a quest hub and an outdoor dungeon) were broken by the 1.0 update (which removed Skylands from the game code) and will require a lot of effort to get working again. Only optional features will be excluded at launch, though. All of the core stuff will be working fine.
THE RULES
All teamliquid.net rules apply to this server. If you would be banned for something on TL, you will also be banned for doing it on the server. In addition, the following rules apply:
No foul language. This server will have a strictly-enforced PG settings. I don't mind an occasional "Damn!" if you die but racism, bigotry, flaming, and general cussing will NOT be tolerated. Don't turn this into a Call of Duty voice server.
No hacking. Of any kind. Period. We will know if you are using anything from a fly hack to an xray hack, and you will not get anything short of a permanent ban for it.
No griefing unless in designated areas. All game actions are logged including blocks, signs, and chat. Trolling is fine but telling someone in chat that it's ok to grief will end up in you being banned if they do something, not them. If something is not yours and you modify it, you are griefing. This includes server blocks such as minecart rails, staff-made towns, and NPC villages.
Do not build within 100 blocks of a town or city. No, I don't expect you to count... but use some judgement. If you build too close we will contact you and relocate your building. The map is huge and there's no reason you need to be so close to an existing structure. If you plan to make a fully functional town then you should probably just make sure you can't even see another city/town.

That website isn't actually online or anything. I just host my server on the subdomain. You probably typed it wrong or something, cause I just tried and it works fine. You can still use the raw IP address in the other thread, too, so...

Currently running Hey0. Server's only a day old, so I'm still adding things each day. I have a few other mods I'm looking at, but I wanted to get some maps up and stuff first, which took me all day because all of the mapping programs are a pain in the ass to get working on Linux. Oh, and did I mention this is my first time ever using Linux? That probably didn't help the situation.
I'm getting the hang of console commands now though, so expect features to be added quicker in the coming days.
