A more complete gameplay video is up! The chonchon, lunatic, and rocker all appear in this one. I was reading some threads about the closed beta and it appears that a cooldown on potions has been implemented, as well as a longer cooldown on skills as compared to RO1. There is now also a casting time for skills like Bash and Double Strafe.

From a forum I visited:
The Voices are really cute, anime-style (mage yells FIREBALL!!! every time and so on)

Voices can be disabled, don't worry.

gameplay videos don't look promising.. Why did they make it 3d when they aren't gonna make the graphics decent? I think WoW has spoiled us all...

I'm confused, do you still get to allocate skill points in whichever stats you want? I dislike a lot of the MMORPGS because you weren't able to customize your character in that way...

i disagree. i think the gameplay mechanics look pretty decent esp for a low lvl

i also think the artistic direction they took w/ this game was perfect for their fan base. im probably speaking too soon but the 3D anime-ish look is probably going to appeal to most of their already established fan base.

i remember when the first RO2 was announced and many many ppl complained that it will lose its appeal once 2D is gone. I think this game has a very specific target audience and i think the graphics still retains the personality it had in 2D. but thats just judging from 1 video so i could be completely wrong.

personally, i feel like they really nailed it with the artistic direction they took. i was really surprised it retains the ragnarok online feel while being 3D

Despite Gravity hiding at the Business to Business (B2B) area over at G*Star 2011, a Japanese gaming website managed to speak to a Gravity spokesperson about the status of Ragnarok Online II. According to the representative, the upcoming Limited Edition Test is to test the stability of the servers, and the game is scheduled to officially launch in the first quarter of 2012 (between January to April). It was also said that 10 countries have signed the publishing rights for the game.

I am so excited for this! I loved RO and I really hope RO2 lives up to the name.

There is no way in hell they can remake the art that is the original RO. Really nice trailer and such, but until I see some remade gameplay and actually effects, I'm still skeptical.

Deep down, I'm wishing RO2 is a bit like the .hack//sign series for some reason.
