Anyway I have been attempting the DMO dungeon but its really crappy, very hard to get 30 seperate guys in 1 slow time, they have to be different too so if you fail once then you fail the dungeon pretty much. Anyone got any tips? There are almost always better stats than socket in a source. Area damage is supposedly really good in this patched now that it is debugged. Like, on par with elemental damage in terms of damage. Depending on density of course.

I swear last season both were dropping like candy on my barb farming TX. This season with sader? 3 ancient Light of Akkan Shoulder pieces lel. with 40% CDR and ridiculous block I have Akarat's champion form roughly 80% uptime, sometimes the CD recharges before the form expires. I even found a really nice Hack with STR VIT CDR and rolled area damage on it. I'm going all in on this hack and pledge ammy. If I don't get those rama's gifts I'll never progress because I decided not to roll sockets on both these items. Right now I'm casually rolling through GR50 rifts with 1 hand trying to farm those gifts.
Not having Bane of the Stricken neuters you. I would take a socket on the Traveler's Pledge over 200% Phys damage, let alone 16.
The other problem your having is probably playstyle. Invokers is terrible at killing trash mobs (except incidentally), but exceptional at taking hits and ignoring everything except the elites that you want dead. Ignore everything except Blues and Yellows and you'll probably shoot up 5 GR levels by doing that alone.

Rerolling that phys% into socket was taking up topazes which I didn't have at the time, now I do and have Striken in it. And yes, I do run from yellow/blue mob to yellow/blue mob, trash is only collateral, or in case I get body blocked on a narrow staircase. That's the only time I kill trash mobs.
But I'm still hoping for those ramaladni's gifts dammnit. Did you guys get any this season?

First season that I get tons of gifts. But the inflation might have to do with too much playtime.

I never realized that the Pledge has a warm up period!
I'm doing 5pc UE with a RORG and cindercoat in the cube and I'm at the point (GR 63) where I need to swap out to COE, but I don't wanna lose the cindercoat! It just offers too much damn regen.
In other words, marauder 6 is far and away the best set for demon hunters this season. Sad really, after all these years it's quite boring to play...but getting 60% dr from the belt, mega chakrams, aquila cuirass, resists from all followers, 5 turrets all firing your chakrams with insane damage...it's just too damn good.
It's actually sickening, really...How is UE supposed to compete with that? That's really not true. The leaderboards atleast in EU have Marauders, UE and Nats all competing for the top spots. Nats wasn't seen during the first week probably because it was the best build for two seasons afaik and people were bored by that but it can totally compete. Every single UE player I saw cubed the Cindercoat.
I'm on hardcore. This is what I have seen.
--> First weekend top build was UE (easy to get set up, major req is ancient Yang). --> Middle of next week Marauders moved to the top (people figured out Chakram build, or are using mass cluster with Manticore). --> N6 might come back up to the top but I just don't think it offers nearly as much damage or survivability as M6 this season. --> HC players are all running Dawn/Visage/COE in the cube, it's an absolute necessity. I want to drop F+R so that I can have COE/RORG/Travelers, and let me keep Visage and Cindercoat (this is for UE). When you play M6 you have a looooot more options.

I think the main problem with UE is that is exceptionally hard to gear for higher grifts, no? T10 speedfarm is easy but for greater rifts you do not want great rolls on your primary stats but max discipline on all available slots. That is pretty hard to get.
May I ask why you want to use cindercoat? The cost reduction shouldn't be needed so you're using it for 30 or something fire dmg only? And for that you're trading away a whole ring slot that is occupied by rorg. That ring slot could get you 50% dmg reduction through elusive or unity which sounds much better especially in hardcore or do I miss anything?

How well do you think a Pet Crusader could do?
I only ran T6, but then again, I didn't have any major set bonuses. I only had the Phalanx helm and shield, no Eternal Union, no Akkhan 6 piece, gems below level 20, and generally crappy gear. Yet at least on GRift 25, stuff just melted. So with 450% more damage through Akkhan, proper gems, eternal union, Tasker and Theo, I could see this do really well.
Only problem I see is that Cooldown Reduction only helps Akarat's Champion, but nothing else.

What is the drop rate on the Convention of Elements? I've found like 50 legendary rings so far, but no CoE, instead getting crap like six Wedding Bands and such -_-

Purely RNG I would say. I had like 4 or 5 before I hit Parangon ~200ish

I've got 8 Ramaladni's gift so far this season but I'm still waiting for a decent ancient weapon to use them
Anyway, regarding your sader, I think you are being a little bit impatient. I'm pretty sure that part of your problems pushing GR60-65 grifts come from underleveled gems, specially those (according to your profile) lvl 30 Trapped and lvl 48 Boyarski's gems. So, if you already socketed Striken into your amulet, I'd suggest leveling up all gems as they would give you a nice boost damage-wise. Also, just keep farming for ancient items and leveling up your char, you would need a little bit more than 350 plvl to attempt GR70+ grifts.
In terms of gameplay/mechanics, other than what you already said about trash mobs/elites, my only advice would be to time your Iron Skin/Consecration/Akarat skills with the physical damage bonus activation from CoE.

Ok, this is me: eu.battle.net.
I am trying to do this build (DMO orb): www.diablofans.com
The build claims "GR88+", and they say that the build is supposed to be the strongest on 2.4 for solo GRs, but I struggle above GR 50. Yes, I don't have the travelers pledge (replaced with rorg for "all runes" slow time and moonlight ward), and my items in general have bad rolls, and my weapon in particular is horrible. But I was hoping to be able to do at least GR60, and have a shot at GR65 and maybe even higher. As it is, my personal best is GR54.
In general survivability isn't a problem once I get the barrier blades and partan defenders going (I die sometimes traveling between groups, but that's my own fault), but I just feel I deal no damage. I have to charge up several rounds of the dynamoed orbs to kill white trash, and I have to run circles to make them connect...
Am I doing something wrong? Some item/skill that breaks the combo? Do I just need to get the travelers pledge and up my rolls of the items I have? Do I play it wrong? \
Looking at the video, he seems to be playing in denser rifts than I ever get. >_> I understand it is good in rifts like the ones they show, with screens packed full of zombies... To get that kind of density in a normal rift I have to herd for minutes, risking death in the process. When I play I have to hunt down the mobs in my slow times to connect with the orbs, or I have to run through all of the mobs for 15 minutes in search for that magic density... I'm at a loss. If it hadn't been for the general consensus that this build is OP, I'd discard it and go play with a completely different skill combo.

Pet Crusader is undoubtedly the best build to farm, even in T10 with not-so-perfect gear. I have yet to test this build (T&T are so hard to find ) but I feel like the lack of AoE damage with Phallanx and lower survivability would be serious issues when trying to go above GR60-65.
But yeah, it's a pretty fun build to play.

60 to 65 is not something I would ever target, I play on HC and I don't play that much.

I tried the DMO build and wasn't impressed. It was a lot more effort than firebirds with no gain.
Dense rifts are always easier and better though.

Yeah density seems to be pretty important, but he is also 1800+ paragon
and he is actually fully flawless royal gem equiped AND ancient weapons
he has 19000 int vs 9000 int of yours
thats 10000% extra damage
