Anyone got any tips? Ideally you want ancient source with INT, CC, AD, and skill dmg/VIT. I don't think the socket gives you as much benefit over any of those (even vs ~1000 VIT, I can't imagine the tradeoff to be as worthwhile). I haven't tried the DMO dungeon yet, sounds interesting. | ||

If you don't mind solving said puzzle then it should be trivial though. You have to kill things with the rebirth, set things on fire, and kill everything. | ||

However, I struggled quite a bit with the Firebird one on my season wiz. It's a balancing act between doing enough damage to clear in time, but not doing so much that the mobs die too quickly (since you need to get the 3000% burn on a few packs of them). You can come up with some weird combination of abilities that frontloads all the damage, like timing a meteor with a blazar and what not, but it feels finnicky sometimes. | ||

Anyone got any tips? Area hit damage is something for higher rifts. It becomes a good stat to push the higher levels. The main reason is that once the enemies start to have a crap ton of hp clearing great rifts is a lot about fighting packs of enemies at which point area damage shines. If you're still in a mid game phase where you want to farm, level gems, get gear and get paragon levels then it's not very useful as you will be more interested in killing enemies in 1-2 hits. | ||

Yeah OK I think I'm hitting a wall here with thorns sader. I did GR60 and it was fine really, I could go higher. I dunno how much higher, but prolly 1-2 levels higher with ease. At this point in my gear progression I need either Ancient Set items or a REALLY well rolled weapon. Or freaking Ramalaladingdong's gifts. I swear last season both were dropping like candy on my barb farming TX. This season with sader? 3 ancient Light of Akkan Shoulder pieces lel. with 40% CDR and ridiculous block I have Akarat's champion form roughly 80% uptime, sometimes the CD recharges before the form expires. I even found a really nice Hack with STR VIT CDR and rolled area damage on it. I'm going all in on this hack and pledge ammy. If I don't get those rama's gifts I'll never progress because I decided not to roll sockets on both these items. Right now I'm casually rolling through GR50 rifts with 1 hand trying to farm those gifts. | ||

If you never played before just make a season character and play the campaign, the cinematics are gorgeous. Single player is "always online" but you make a private game so noone can intrude upon it. If you wanna catch up quickly make a new character (also seasonal) and start off in adventure mode and do act bounties until you hit lv 20. Change to story mode and kill Skeleton king for his crown (above lv 20 its a guaranteed drop). Then socket the best ruby you can and farm farm farm until lv 70 where the real game begins. | ||

Looks to me your problem isn't the gear/weapon/cdr, but terrible gem lvls (there isn't even a socket in the ammy). With lvl60 gems in all 3 jewelry slots, you could clear close to 70 with what you have right now. Also you rolled off dmg but kept the % dmg on the weapon? I don't really understand what's going on there. That must have taken a lot more mats than necessary. | ||

Leap, ground stomp, and earthquake 7 elite mobs. Considering my gear was GR65 level at the time, everything literally just melted before I could hit the second key. | ||
