To ensure this thread won't be closed, you must adhere to several a number of simple rules; - Please use spoilers when quoting a post with pictures and/or videos.
- When posting large quantities of media (pictures or videos), please begin spoilering after the first piece. Grouping related videos in the same spoilers & labeling is recommended.
- No reposting of old material unless justified
- Posting any material with little or no relevent discussion accompanying it
- No passion-induced flaming of each other because 'x said y sucked' etc.
- Keep the expression hate of music individuals/groups to a minimal level
- No 'pagetopping' in any form whatsoever, as it constitutes spam equal to posts similar to 'first'.
- No vulgar fan fics or wet dream stories. It is creepy, weird, and it dehumanizes the people who you are here to celebrate/discuss.
- Normal posting standards that you find throughout the rest of the site still apply and will be enforced more strictly from here forward (2012/03/11)
Due to the poor nature of this thread in the past, temporary two-day bans will occur more than often if people slip up. |

It's not like SM can't just pay to have them both win at different times.

Maybe true enough; but I figured spacing would do wonders; especially considering how much international stuff SNSD/TVXQ are tied up with right now. Exo repackage so fast though... literally a month after Wolf.
|
At least Shinee, TTS, and DBSK all still have comebacks to come later this year, gotta fit things in somewhere. One of the reasons EXO released Wolf as a title track was to grab attention, positive or not, and so now they follow it right up with a track that hopefully attracts positive attention from the general public. SM may seem dumb sometimes but they know enough about what they are doing I think.

aoa song is surprisingly good to me, pretty easy to listen to, its gonna be a good song for gaming O.<

No not really. Ever see that video of the school kids twerking that got suspended? Pretty disgusting. Imagine your own kid doing it? Not so great. I'm fine with a certain amount of sexiness (and Kpop seems to testing the limits lately) but when you got chicks pulling this move off and uploading it somewhere you've got problems. I personally love how I'm considered exaggerating but go back 5 years and this would have been a freakin scandal. Sometimes that slippery slope does actually exist.

This Fiestar thing so cute :3 Cao Lu > else ezpz
Cheska has the same Valley Girl accent as all other American Kpop idols, lol.
Also laughing pretty hard at that Kill Bill teaser, hope the song is good.

Prestige is overstating it. All you really get is a little extra media exposure.

You really haven't watched much "old" kpop...

This hits the nail right on the head. I'd even say it was "worse" before, action was taken and while I would agree that groups are slowly trying to widen the range of what the government deems acceptable, it is nowhere near the old days stuff.
|
you sound like one of those old people who wanted Elvis banned from television because he was gyrating his hips.
And kpop is some of the most tame "sexiness" I've ever seen in pop music, seriously it's not even that bad.

As someone who has never seen "old" kpop, this begs the question... :O

must be really old kpop...like 80s or below what u r talkin bout TT; my shinee moment is probably over..yesterday i screamed to shinee songs and had 90% winrate, today with shinee again i lost 99% of my games =( anyone has a good playlist without shinee? i am kinda angry with my playlist right now (and my winning and losing has everything to do with kpop!)

I mean, I'm all for getting rid of dumb shit like pelvic thrusts or grinding on the floor, but let's not pretend there haven't been just as explicit things going on in the past.
On another ranty note: what the fuck with the surge of high hot pants (the ones that barely cover the crotch, yet go over the belly button). You're treading in the region of the worst possible kind of outfit you could put on stage. Throw some fishnets in with them and you pretty much torpedo any possible attempt at being attractive.
|
awards arent meaningless they make the group and the fans feel happy and proud or does that not matter

I noticed this too, for some time now...naked belly button is still better :D

They might be meaningless to big groups, but not to the smaller ones. It's like a sign of taking off for them. I'd cry a river with Crayon Pop if they ever win one. Hopefully they won't go Rainbow.
|
Craton pop is already taking off, so I could see it happening.
|
Yeah I would be happy to see Crayon Pop win one too. They're like the silliest but fun underdogs of underworld guerilla kpop.
