memequeen v-tuber singing Let It Go but with altered lyrics to fit gal-game tropes. While it is supposed to be about that 90% of those things also apply to harem/ecchi tropes in anime I guess so that's why I figured I'd post it in here. Song starts at roughly 0:58, everything before is explanation. Oh also subtitled

It had its moments for sure and it was heart-wrenching but in the end, not much progress was made. A lot of it felt like it was a set-up for later stages of the story. For example the Queen and King matches. They felt like the author wanted to keep the current King and Queen in so they would be there for the main characters to beat later on. Pretty ineffectual towards the end. On the love-front both Arata and Taichi confessed (gosh I despise love-triangles) and now what. Chihaya just ignored both of them, they never talked about it again and they moved on for months (half a year in Aratas case). What a tease. I also don't know what to think about Taichi kissing Chihaya. It's kind of in line with how the story was flowing but it seemed out of character. It also didn't have any impact. They just moved on again... Honestly, it feels like the author is torn apart between having great empathic character writing and trying to drag the series out as much as possible...

really good animation and cool background story. it took a while to watch it but im glad i did. Haykiu S1 S2 S3 - 6 nice animation but the story gets kind of predictable. easy in the eyes to enjoy some chapters every now and then. Mobile suit gundam (1979) - 6.5 what can i say, a classic on its own right. i liked the story but some parts just went way too long and started to get boring. im kind of amazed how they showed so many deaths and those chapters that showed the background of characters like Char, or the struggle of Amaru, Hayato and Bright were really good. Tensei shitara Slime Datta Ken - 7 nice world building but the MC was way to op since chapter 1. still good story and characters. Right now im watching Claymore, Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam and Log Horizon

The story is about firefighters, mutants (the humans with superpowers kind), giant mecha, aliens and maybe global warming? Who knows? If the main character himself falls asleep during the biggest exposition dump, it's not too important.

It's a shame that you can have these cool quirky original ideas for an anime and in the end it just falls flat off of poor execution. It feels like the hardest part of the creative process was to have the idea, but the end product is just boring. It talks a lot but it's not saying anything interesting or funny, the pace is slow, nothing happens. It doesn't make you feel anything except slightly annoyed. It's probably better if you're a native speaker and don't have to read that much subtitle, but I've enjoyed shows where it talked a lot before, they were just better shows. I'll watch episode 2 but I expect to drop that one quite fast despite the interesting premise.

The Otome Game isekai is also surprisingly very good and hilarious.

Wasn't bad... but I think you pretty much summed it up.

Stein's Gate was really good. I can see why it is so highly rated. The progression of the main character was legitimately great, I couldn't fucking stand his bullshit at the start of the series and by the end of it I actually was enjoying it just because of how developed he was throughout the series. Kirisu is an incredible waifu, I never knew how much I wanted a trash talking tsundere scientific genius in my life that also loves fan fics. Marry me Kirisu! What I think I enjoyed most about it though was that most like 9/10 of the plot twists I genuinely didn't see coming. The only ones I saw were + Show Spoiler + that Teru was Suzuha's father I could tell by the hair color and that Moeka was working for SERN in some way although that one's a little more obvious Mob Psycho 100 I was much less enthusiastic about. I'm not gonna say it was bad, but it felt really generic even by battle shonen standards. The comedy especially with Reigen (i really don't like this character) didn't click with me. And I didn't find much to enjoy about the protagonist either. Shigeo is just.... boring. I found way more interest in his brother who gets mostly discarded in season 2. The art style aside from the sakuga also didn't click with me. Lot of small things with Mob. I didn't dislike it, but it's so ridiculously high rated I was expecting much more than that. I will say though that the Body Improvement Club are awesome! I love that group of heartwarming meatheads.

Bam meets Rachel for the first time, but gets hurt then she decides to continue her journey and leave him again. One of self-improvement. I personally would rate it highly (and did lol). Indeed. It delivered even more than I remember.

Stein's Gate is ridiculously highly rated for a show that is so bland they could have left it at the intro. While I'm not a huge fan of Mob Psycho I don't think it's generic at all. At least not in the literal sense of the word. On April 14 2020 05:33 BigFan wrote: Anyone here watching Tower of God? I remember reading a bit of it a long time ago and if I'm not mistaken, the anime is doing it justice so far. I'm excited to see what happens next. When I read the source, I got up to the point where + Show Spoiler + Bam meets Rachel for the first time, but gets hurt then she decides to continue her journey and leave him again. I watched the first couple episodes and enjoyed it enough to continue. Weirdly enough it gives me early HxH vibes.

Finally finished the Irotoridori Series' final game: Akai Hitomi ni Utsuru Sekai or "The World Reflected From Your Scarlet Eyes". It's pretty much just a short afterstory and ichaicha conclusion to the series. It tackles some real world issues like parting from loved ones and facing slumps: essentially the up and down of life. And finally it brings lots and lots of Shinku fanservice <3 Storywise, it does not add much, but it's a good closure to the series. You can tell that a lot of effort went into it even though it's just a short story. It still contains the same issues in writing as the other games, but I think its strengths covers up for most of its flaws. Especially, if you're a Shinku fan. :D Next game, I'm planning to tackle is a classic: Utawarerumono. From what I've heard it's kind of RPG-like VN so it's going to be fun to see what the gameplay is like.
