I've come to the realisation that a central theme of the show is going to be about healing. Which just means that no matter how sad it is at the time, I know it's going to go positive eventually. That's something I need right now.

The first 3 eps I really wasn't sure but I have enjoyed the sorcerers antics for now and I'm hooked and going to finish it out. I really hate the OP though. But otherwise it's interesting and looks like a lot of work was put into it. What I mean to say is I'm enjoying it quite a bit now. =p On March 22 2020 22:11 Slaughter wrote: Babylonia ends and they hit us with the announcement of Solomon ~_~ Oh yea. Overall Babylonia was solid. Got to see Quetz animated and some gorgeous NPs from her (and really most of the NPs were fun to see) but had some issues with pacing and weird choices on what to cut at times. Yeah similar feeling. Thought it was ok, wouldn't recommend it but it had a few bursts though that were solid. Favourite part is definitely Gorgon's first fight though.

Maple ends up maxing out her vitality to avoid getting hurt so she ends up having one of the highest defenses or w/e in the game despite her low level especially when she keeps getting multipliers. However, this also means her speed is slow. Then she ends up gaining poison resistance and a spell through smart and also dumb luck by eating a hydra or w/e the monster was called. This seems fine, but this is where it gets silly as hell. With new weapons from the drop, she learns new moves that allow her to devour enemies until they get patched. Through more random quests, she gains the ability to become an angel allowing her to fly and provide total defense to her allies. Another quest gives her the ability to transform into a predator meaning she can go all out attacking from her previous OP defense that is matched by few. Yet another quest has her become a machine god, aka she can pilot a mech. Did I mention that she beat some boss and got a pet who can become gigantic and fly? This pet also knows spells too. This makes SAO's kirito feel so tame when he executed that double handed sword and killed a raid boss on his own lol. Reeeaaaaally hope it's going to use the original LN or at least the first manga as source. The new manga skips sooooo much stuff. Now they need to also make Fiancee Log and the holy trinity of female lead isekai's will have been made - Bakarina, Fiancee Log and Bookworm. Cant remember a season that has looked this stack. I wont have time to watch all this... :O Unless you work several jobs or work a lot of overtime, with all the social distancing going on, I'm sure you'll find plenty of time for everything haha. This season is probably the season which has the most second/third seasons I can remember since I started watching anime.

I remember reading the description of the show, not expecting much from it. Oh how wrong I was. It's a really touching, beautiful story with excellent animation, sound and emotional toning. Season 2 somehow hits even harder than season 1, and truly is one of my all time favorites.

I mostly referenced Kirito since he seemed like the golden standard whenever someone says OP nowadays.

ID: INVADED AOTS. An anime original thriller that actually delivered and didn't shit itself in the process. Praise be. I've already said a lot about Babylonia, but I think I can sum up my feelings in three points:
I can't imagine that they'll even come close to doing Solomon justice. Thing's a nightmare to adapt for a new audience unless they're just planning on throwing crap on screen for the spectacle. I have slightly more hope for Camelot given that its a more complete story, and has the benefit of being a feature film. Please be good. Fortunately, that cast is legendary. You can legitimately cheer for all sides. As for next season... Hell yeah Fruits Basket Bookworm Kakushigoto No Guns Life (though I worry about this one) I'm tempted to watch Tower of God, but I fell off that particular train (ha) a long time ago. The first arc alone might be worth it though. On March 25 2020 06:24 Miragee wrote: Nothing in your list excites me. ![]() Joke's on you, Solid State Society already happened to SAC.

I'll probably just wait for the full show to drop on Netflix before continuing.

The animation certainly has a style to it, and I think it's actually pretty good; the layer episodes have some instances where it is displayed. But I could also just be an uncultured animation pleb.
