It was a decent action anime, but I was expecting Death Note/ FMA Brotherhood levels of depth based on the reviews. What did I miss? Which season, or all of them? JoJo's strengths are how wacky and weird a lot of its fights are, in addition to its visual style. Also the core cast of characters are typically pretty likable, which helps carries a shounen like it a long way. The plot to the various seasons aren't anything extraordinary. Although that all said, I'd definitely put it wayyyyy past Death Note in terms of depth lol.

I'm with Sent. Part 4 really is stellar with it's portrayal of the villain and suburban life. Well I think Death Note is mostly trash that makes people feel smart so that's why it's so highly regarded. JoJo isn't some insanely deep anime. It does what it does very well though.

If you don't like campy stuff you're unlikely to have as great enjoyment from JoJo as others might

Eizouken is a bunch of dorks doing dorky things. The entirety of episode 7 was basically just for the animators to gush about their passions. And then there's parts where they get dragged back into reality and have to make compromises. I love it. It just feels really earnest. Heya Camp is proof that Rin is what makes Yuru Camp work. It's honestly pretty boring without her even in 3 minute shorts. ID: INVADED is decent. The gimmick of diving into psyches is good, and it allows them a decent level of creativity with the setting. Fun watch. Hanako-kun is pretty unremarkable, being ghosts and not-romance. The story's fine but their lack of budget clearly shows. Kyokou Suiri has an awful English summary but is very enjoyable. It's everything that Detective Waver should've been, complete with a lot more talking heads, better presentation of said talking heads, and actual theorycrafting (sometimes literally). I don't know what the people in charge of the Waver anime were doing, but the focus on the fighting and spectacle was really strange when all that stuff is antithetical to the themes of that series. It's a supernatural mystery, not a battle shounen. Itai no wa is yet another VRMMO show. The one thing I will say in its favor is that at least it focuses on being a game and not on miscellaneous baggage external to it. Orphen is a remake of a 20 year old fantasy anime, and it shows. It's also chuuni as hell. I've been reading the Railgun manga for a long, long time now. It's still decent, and is probably among the last Raildex stuff I'll ever touch (gave up on Index and all the other spinoffs years ago). The anime's just covering the old plot now, but I still like it. And then there's Haikyuu, which is Haikyuu. Overall, I'd say it's a pretty solid season.

Beast of Disaster, evil born of mankind's folly, Thy desperate wish that thy love not go unrequited is itself thy rejection's root. Of rank, nor station, nor the title Grand have I need. Bear witness, goddess of life, to the testament writ with mine own blade. Thou fallen god, to beasthood turned, if Primordial Mother be thy title, attend, and hear my name. From the mountain abyss, I come, and only death do I bring. I am the Old Man of the Mountain, the First Hassan-i-Sabbah. The bell of evening tolls thy name. Touch not the sky, for by heaven's will I shall strip thee of thy wings! Last couple of Babylonia eps have been pretty good. Some cuts and rushed aspects but overall good enough.

Overall Babylonia was solid. Got to see Quetz animated and some gorgeous NPs from her (and really most of the NPs were fun to see) but had some issues with pacing and weird choices on what to cut at times.

Kaguya Oregairu Fruit's Basket Bookworm Dropkick and there's multiple with really interesting settings, Arte Listeners Nami yo Kiitekure and most importantly we're going to be graced by the greatest isekai MC ever in Bakarina. Reeeaaaaally hope it's going to use the original LN or at least the first manga as source. The new manga skips sooooo much stuff. Now they need to also make Fiancee Log and the holy trinity of female lead isekai's will have been made - Bakarina, Fiancee Log and Bookworm. Cant remember a season that has looked this stack. I wont have time to watch all this... :O
