The combination of the door slamming and the shift from the lively bedding music to the sorrowful music.

Rains of Castermere, it's a very sad and depressing song about genicide.

OMG OMG OMG. What the fuck. When the doors closed I was terrified, had a terrible feeling and then bam they killed Rob, his wife and all of their family.
Man that was completely unexpected. This show is just so amazing, its so good and real and gritty its the best show I've ever watched. I just wish there were at least 12 episodes per season, 10 is way too little.
I mean I could watch the show all day long, every day. Pure 10 out of 10.

Cersei explained it last episode (I think?) when talking to Margaery. It's the Rains of Castamere, which is a song made because of the Lannister's destruction of House Reyne when they rebelled against Tywin's father.

I'm interested as to how the news of the Starks death will affect the Brienne-Jamie story, especially with those hints of the Lannisters having a hand in it.

Even in the worst periods of European history you couldnt find these sorts of things quite as ubiquitously as you do in GoT. It basically doesnt make sense from a sociological point of view. Its literally a feudal society with little proper regard for duty or leniage or proper behaviour outside of perfunctory "your grace" honorifics.
edit: It also makes no sense how one end its clearly very decentralized [wardens and their vassals], yet has a centralized bureaucracy for the state, in the form of the hand of the King and, clearly, associated state financial instruments. The world really is a hod podge of attitudes and mechanisms from across the centuries, leaving it really...odd. Especially in regards to the darkness of the main characters. Pretty much this. It is like Martin has transplanted our modern attitudes and expectations of the rich and powerful (1980s cut-throat greed culture), an elite removed from all social obligation, and slapped it into a medieval setting without much thought to how the whole thing operated. I'm not sure we can make the call that the rich upper class of today (effective royalty, the top 1% of the 1% cannot lose as they will have others help them, like Donald Trump, the railroad barons, etc) is any worse (or better) than those a thousand years ago. Evolutionarily speaking, there has been zero change, and society hasn't gotten less moral (and don't spout the Religious = Good fallacies to protect people that lived a thousand years ago because that is a damned lie). Read up on the War of the Roses, and in general, the historically cutthroat political intrigue of Europe. Remember, back then, royalty ruled by divine right, and any who opposed them opposed God - and boy did they use that to do the occasional vile act.
The Lannisters are perfectly believable in that context. Robert Baratheon is based on Henry VIII, a king that by today's standards is totally amoral (and also tended to indulge his rowdy habits), bit off the hand that fed him again and again, and completely got away with it. Don't even get me started with the Mad Emperors of the Roman Empire (the Mad king = Nero, who watched Rome burn), the 15th century politics in the Catholic Church (House Tyrell = House Borgia), pre-French revolution France (Joffrey = Louis XV if he gets popular yet ruins the kingdom, Louis XVI if he pays the price for how messed up things are), and so on. If you think the rich of today are entitled, read up on the Opium Wars, and how the English Empire was built (because in all of human history, none have played dirtier than the English back then).
Don't romanticize medieval times. People were just as bad then as they are today.
edit: added examples, removed redundancies.

So I figure if words gets out about this the frey's wont exactly be very respected as a house at all across Westeros. Although I assume the Lannisters had something to do with this from Roose's whole "Lannisters sent their regards", and how he seemed so eager to send Jamie off when he was in Harrenhall. Who knows we will see.
Anyyyyyyways, am I the only one here who actually likes Roose? Something about him. Reminds me of Twyin Lannister just not nearly as, pompous you may say.

Agreed, this head of a house is my kind of scum; fearless and inventive.

Vladimir Putin plays the character of Roose Bolton and applies his real life experiences to the portrayal

The only thing I like about roose is his voice, which somehow reminds me of one of the characters in amnesia

I can't say that I predicted what would happen until the doors closed, and I noticed that all of Rob's mean had left. However, I knew something had to have gone bad. There is not a single point in all three seasons that I can think of, where something ended up on the bright side. I knew that lords did not simply forget grudges or promises broken. I had a tense feeling going through the entire episode that something terrible had to happen to make this episode a legitimate GoT episode. I thought maybe Rob's wife and unborn child would be slain, but I did not expect that all of the Stark war council would fall that night. I keep watching the show and thinking that by now I should be accustomed to the bad and ruthless, but the show keeps bringing new terrors that make my stomach cringe. Even though this whole episode was beautifully orchestrated, I am still a bit sad that Rob died, he was one my favorite characters. But I guess there is no honor when you play the game, you either cut throats or have your own cut. Ned and Rob were no exceptions. Tywin plays the game better than any other.

Tywin Lannister doing a strip tease was more disturbing then the red wedding.

Things don't always go badly, not even for the Starks. Jon ended up captured in the middle of the wildling army, hundreds of miles of wilderness from home wearing the uniform of their enemy and they decided to convert him by letting him hook up with a hot redhead and then send him on a secret infiltration mission back to where he lives.

That picture of Theon and his torturer shooting pool together was surreal.
