His treason(so easy, lol) proves that he was just playing him like a puppet all along, probably for his own goals, he wasn't a friend of Theon or cared for him in any way. And at the very first sign of weakness he delivered poor Theon to his enemies.
Also I didn't like at all the comedic element with theon's situation. He was arguably the most tragic character of the series, why would you fucking spoil that vibe. Just bad story writing there.
I disagree. I think the comedic element was small enough to bring irony and thus enhance the sadness of the situation

How did they spoil that vibe? That's quite possibly the most tragic end he could possibly have. Right on the verge of dying in a noble and glorious manner, the one decision he thought he could still make, and it gets snatched right out from under him by a spear thwack to the head. While fucking hilarious, it's also tragic and miserable as all hell. Theon couldn't ever live right, and now he can't even DIE right. How bad is that??

I liked when Theon got punked by his ironhomies, that was exactly what I was hoping would happen when he was doing his Braveheart speech.
and dat Drogo scene...so good

I think the whole daenerys storyline was not very believable in this episode, this warlock seemed to know quite a lot about dragons but he could not expect a little fire? and how could she enter the house of the "kinf of quarth" with a handful of people, isn't he supposed to have like a million of guards? What I didn't really get either was why theon's people burnt down winterfell and killed everybody. They wanted to take Robb's surrendering offer right? but can you still take those kinds of offers after burning down a city and killing countless people? Oo
|
a friend of mine suggested that the horn you heard from outside was one of the ironborn, and that they used him to fool theon into thinking they were surrounded. so that they could escape alive, but this doesent make sense to me.
please discuss, and if anyone knows what happened they can PM me if they want

"We're all liars here, and every one of us is better than you"
loved that scene with sansa and littlefinger, where will her story go I gotta know!

No one had seens dragon in their lifetime or had heard of others seeing them recently. Didn't warlock think they were too young to breath grand flames!? Thus "he" "dies."

I'm confused, are you guys suggesting Theon is dead? (btw, for book people, PLEASE don't spoil something like this.) My impression was that they were given orders by his sister to bring him back alive, so they took whatever opportunity to knock him out and bring him back home. But perhaps I missed something critical.

Theon says he knows they are surrounded because he stood on the battlements himself and saw it with his own eyes. The horn just what it seems.

The warlock did say his magic grew from the presence of the newborns. Thus he isn't a master of dragons and himelf sorta. More to learn, but not for him. All that shade of the evening dulled his mind.

The deal they made was with Bolton's men, not Yara. Robb told the Bastard to give them the opportunity to return home as long as they gave him Theon alive (under the pretense that he wouldn't remain so for very long once he was brought to Robb). All you can really glean from that scene is that they decided to take the offer instead of dying like dogs hundreds of miles from the sea. Why the castle was burned to the ground when they reemerged, however, is still up for speculation.

can u even burn a castle with 20 men? surely the citizens would just grab some weapons and defend themselves.
I liked the dragons surprise.
Also, zombie army oO guess we now know what that freaking big wall was for.

I was WTF today when saw Sansa in King's landing, didn't she left with hound? An why she is acting so unbelivably stupid and not leave?
Best scene - Theon getting whacked on the head. But I really didn't understand who burned down Winterfell? If i remember correctly there was a siege going on, so how could ironfolks have escaped, and where are the norths with their 500 men?

Not everyone is exactly how they say they are and his empty vault exemplifies that. If he doesn't have any valuables in his vault you think he'd have hired a bunch of guards. Also he didn't have any reason to be scared of Daeny and her people which is why like 20 people showed up in his room and he was surprised.

He himself said earlier: "A man is only what other men say he is"... So it didn't matter if he was rich or not. The other men gave him power through expenting him to be rich

Robb told Bolton that he should say any Ironborn who wish to leave will be spared except for Theon. Winterfell was then surrounded and Theon's men betrayed him and left. It didn't explicitly show it but I think there's little doubt what happened.
