She doesn't want to FURTHERMORE fuck up her reputation/credibility after the whole "I-Just-Fucking-Framed-Somebody" ordeal. It's one of the few things that actually made some sense in these last episodes.

It makes more sense than a lot of other things this season, but even so, I think I would prioritize my life above my reputation when there's a chance that I'm being set up by the most accomplished serial killer of all time.

If she didn't call for backup when she got the call, she should've atleast checked in when she saw Dex's car.
Not to mention Dexter somehow able to catlike catch an armed and alerted police officer offguard when he has to sneak like 5+ metres on a metal container. The first seasons the writers were able to pull stuff like that off a lot better, where you were thinking "ohh yer I can see where that could happen with Dex's brains", but they keep taking it one step further, and now it's more "that *might* happen if Dex was incredibly lucky". And then you check the overall picture, and Dex has been incredibly lucky like 50 times.

True, I mean, she can call dispatch and let them know of her whereabouts, but that doesn't necessarily change how it all plays out (the framing can still go on and she probably doesn't want to mention Dexter's name).
On the other hand, as you say, she's 99.9% sure Dexter's the BHB, she sees the car, might as well try and be a little keen about it.
What's beyond argue is that indeed, writers don't really seem to give a shit about consistency/logic anymore. That's a shame.

yeah these things are annoying. the same thing when dex observes someone he knows. i mean he parks his car directly in front of the targets house etc. thats plain stupid for an forensics expert.

i like this season compared to the travis and the julia stiles seasons.
i agree with the people here - best seasons are 1, 2, 4, and then this one.
there are a lot of things to think about after this season. - what will happen to deb? - what will happen to la guerta's body? - angel retiring... he should be promoted to captain - quinn and jamie the nanny/angel's sister lol (little subplot) - hannah? - dexter becoming very impulsive in each season... wtf! this development i don't like but in shows like this, i guess the writers/producers will be stuck to his character unless they evolve him.
i just hope they will not wrap it up in just one episode similar to the episode about trinity's son having a hunch about him.
but anyway, i still like dexter. one of the shows that i really like
edit: oh one more thing, the retired captain tom matthews... what's he gonna do when he finds out that la guerta is missing or died?

If they don't call it quits next season, I think I am just going to stop watching the show. I liked Dexter, but I feel like it is just dragging on now, and my endurance to tolerate these 1 hour episodes is catching up to me.
I think next season, they should come up with some crazy scenario, something to the extent where Dexter has been found out and he flees the country, perhaps have Dexter get caught and focus on Dexter before he gets executed, or perhaps even have Dexter kill Miami metro by gassing out the Police Department or something.
I would really like to see the series go out with a bang

So true. Even though the lovely Yvonne Strahovski made this season so worth watching *___* :D

Of course, as in almost every Dexter seasons, there are plot holes and the police just suck. But hey that was to be expected, if you're really pissed about that maybe stop watching... because by the 7th season you should be used to it. Both the arcs with Isaac and Hannah were interesting as to how it reflects back on Dexter moral ground. Dexter and Deb finally evolved drastically and the next season will certainly exploit on that, either in a "downspiral" way or in a "redemption" way. Almost every episodes were interesting and I didn't feel it was too slow at any point (while I usually do in the other seasons). Great season for me, probably my best or close to.
My only annoyance is that the show (and Dexter) should become a bit more careful as it is sometimes a bit TOO much unrealistic how he gets away with stuff (kidnapping people in day light near a park ?).
I always wondered why he never wears anything more than the usual (with the exception to the shooting range where he wears a cap)

I disagree. Jennifer Carpenter is not a great actress, and I always hate it when they give away awards to mediocre actors/actresses simply because they can cry. You don't even have to be an actor to pull that off tbh.

Don´t kid yourself, it was a good performance. She's good at playing whining and crying.

Whenever I think of Jennifer Carpenter I always trace back to White Chicks and "cellulite sally"
|
Since la guerta is "dead" does that make deb first in line to take over her job?
|
Damn, I hope they make La guerta's death and how it happened be believable to start off next season.
|
I think Debra can follow her father's path in the next season. She has to be devastated.

For the record, snatching in broad day light with little to no trace and no one noticing is not uncommon and impossible to pull off. Just look at the Adam Walsh case. While you could argue that it's lucky to get away with in the setup Dexter pretty much had him in the back of his SUV in a blink of an eye.
People are not generally watching what other people are doing in public, they are watching the people they are with, reading, playing, shopping, conversing with others etc.

Not to mention a lot of people just want to mind their own business. If you see someone even possibly doing something shady, how many people jump straight to their 'i should call the cops' mode. Most people wouldn't, most would assume it's a joke, or they mistook the action taking place, or simply, hey if that guy made another guy just disappear in the blink of an eye and i barely saw it, think of what he can do to me, i'm sorry for that guy but i have a family I need to take care of myself for.

I don't get what killing LaGuerta is going to accomplish.
If she already got the court order, certainly it will be pursued regardless of her being alive or not?

I was thinking about this too, but I don't think so. If she were acting alone, nobody would know about the warrants besides her and the judge who issued them, and it isn't a judge's job to follow up on such things. A paper trail exists, but it's only there if somebody is actively looking for it.
