You can't be related to Toph and not be unbelievably badass. I really really really hope they mention what happened to Azula. By far my favorite character from TLA. I'm still hoping for some retarded plot twist where she was frozen in ice between the two series and makes a comeback. Screw that, I want a flashback episode where they show the original characters much older and able to kick SERIOUS more ass. You say Lin Bei Fong, I say show Toph like 20, 30 years old and being a 1 (wo)man army just because. :D

They manage to corner her and Aang/katara want to spare her and bring her back to the asylum but then, as Toph is metal bending a prison to transport her, Zuko shoots lighting at the metal and kills Azula. Azula was too awesome to have been beaten by Katara and just locked up for the rest of her life. She deserves a fitting end.

Honestly I would have loved to see aang die and the rest of the gang deal with the teaching of the new avatar instead of these up tight adults. I'm sure the show will turn out great, but so far it hasn't been as humorous overall. I'm talking golden parts like these: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i_XceKQABJ4 Hm good point. Even mako and bo lin seem much more serious. Bo lin seems to be a sort of comic relief kind of character, but not as much as sokka. Also having only 3 main characters instead of 4 limits the kinds of interesting relationships/humor the characters can share between each other.

I do remember that she used it on Earth Kingdom soldiers and they were (presumably) wearing armor but I don't think she used it on anything really heavy duty like Toph's rock or metal armour.

And for the regular armor thing I'll have to rewatch some episodes where Ty Lee fights them because I'm sure there is a chance their armor was really light or she didn't aim for the body and for the arms. The only nation that seemed to be heavily armored in combat iirc was the fire nation and Ty Lee never fought against any. The rest had fairly light armor.

But for now, I think she is pretty far from the spirit world. Before she can access her avatar state genuinely and talk to spirits/past lives, she has a lot of more spiritual training to do. Not expecting it until the end of the season.
