They are saying that not even Julie did not know about this, but then who the hell built it? Bataar was busy with the tank.
And how fast they got that thing there?
I mean, I could live with that mecha if it wasn't brought in like "YOU KNOW WHAT GUYS? GIANT FUCKING MECHA. WHY? BECAUSE GIANT FUCKING MECHA!"
Bleh, this show is getting redonkulous. It wasn't a tank. It was a cannon on rails, and it was the cannon they were having trouble getting working, not the rails.
It also wasn't a week, they showed up a week early. It was implied to be a lot longer, what with the whole city wide evacuation.

Nope, it was a week. The report was they'd attack in two weeks. Then they showed up a week early, meaning they showed up in one week instead of two.

It was no report. It was an intel from Zhu Li. It didn't come from a Republic City/United Republic of Nations scout. It was only revealed because Zhu Li broke ranks and told them. It's more likely that Kuvira had factored in her possible betrayal and gave her false intel.
Truth is, there's no way to know many details about the giant mechatank. I'm sure it's far-fetched either way, let's face it. I'm still willing to look past it if they deliver on the finale.

There's been mechs of some sort in Korra since Season 1, so in theory the Avatar world has had however much time passed over Season 1 -3 + 3 years to familiarize themselves with the technology.
Don't get me wrong, I feel like the aesthetics/whether it meshes with the world is a totally valid discussion, as I think it looks kind of dumb too, but this particular branch of development didn't just pop up over a week. If you want a 2-part documentary detailing the advances in mechanical and robotic technology in the recent history of the Avatar world, how they lead up to the creation of the giant mecha, and how the mech moves/works, it's probably not going to happen.
So, I guess for the people who have a problem with this, the only other alternative is to remember that TLoK is a children's TV show where people throw fireballs and shoot lightning at each other on a regular basis, and to not think too hard about how it works and how long it took to build it?

I always feel the opposite when it comes to Korra, episodes are to short. I enjoy the series, but I don't like watching it weekly. Give me all 13 episodes at once.
Personally, I hope they go all out and give us some good smack down. I want to see the Korra vs Kuvira rematch where Korra rocks her face without the Avatar state, just like Aang did to Ozai in the final moments of the last battle.

Yeah I definitely prefer a non weekly schedule :D When I recently rewatched AtLA I went through it in a week or so

Oh wow, finale is tomorrow night now? D:

I thought it was Friday. Link me to this inside information, I need it to plan my life.

Can we already predict how the show is going to end?
We know the following will happen: Jr. will have some info to allow someone (Korra??) to defeat the mech. Korra will have to use avatar mode to do something, probably related to the spirit weapon & communicating with the spirits. The show will probably assert that Korra as avatar is still necessary for the world. Prince Wu will have more of an inspiring role so he can confidently take over the earth kingdom from Kuvira. I don't think the show will want to promote royalty so perhaps he'll refuse the throne and create a confederation of states?
What else?

What else? Korra beats Kuvira in a one on one fight without the Avatar state, further proving that being the Avatar is more than just super powers. Or something like that.

No no no, Kuvira takes down EVERYONE single handed, in an all out brawl where she proves her sheer mastery. Then, Prince F***ing Wu accidentally runs her over with a car. Fade to black.

I wanna see Zhu Li get some more screen time. Her and the prince are growing on me

Why do you think Prince Wu accidentally runs her over? He was distracted by the dancing badgermoles...
