Most people seem to dislike Dance, though... I liked Clash back then because I liked King's Landing Tyrion chapters, but maybe today I would not love it too much if I re-read it. Dance is much better than Feast. I love a lot of arcs and it is an great book. But I think that the book could be even better with a little less side histories and more advance in main ones.

![]() On another note, GRRM apparently read a new TWOW chapter: Aeron 'Damphair' Greyjoy Some sick stuff in there!

Oh and Arya leaving is pretty unexpected to me. I hope she doesn't end up in some dumb house of the undying-like nonsense where she takes over the whole faceless men by killing Jaqen H'ghar

God if that happened that would be dumb. Unless they somehow can make it cool, but I don't think so. I think she's going to kill the trainer chick and get away with the actors.

Are D&D really just pandering to fans and making all these theories come true in order to increase popularity? I can't imagine GRRM writing anything so contrived in his books.

L+R=J is something GRRM had in mind since the beginning, and Benjen being Coldhands wouldn't be too farfetched even if Coldhands denied it. After all, you can't just leave a Stark with their story thread incomplete or without a proper resolution. Cleganebowl might not happen depending on whether the survival theory for the Hound stands as true.

But something about them suddenly showing the Freys and mentioning the Brotherhood while talking about Brienne going to the Riverlands makes me think that is what they are hinting at. Kind of like a refresher of what happened before bringing her back.

I liked Hornhill, though I don't understand why Sam would drag Gilly all the way there only to leave on an impulse right after and take Heartsbane. Heartsbane is supposed to be huge too! But the actor playing Randyll nailed it, in my opinion. I hope we see more of him. That being said, the end with Dany felt off somehow. It felt like a scene right out of Jurassic Park. I also feel like the dialogue really has taken a hit in quality, but I may be biased and nitpicky. That was a huge moment in Dany's arc, when she finally decides to sail West and sets her mind on conquering instead of ruling. And it felt a bit... flat. BUT what I do not like is King's Landing's plot. Now THAT was anticlimactic, and I really really hate Jaime now. He was such an interesting character, and he really has done a complete 360 back to who he was before. That infuriates me. I truly hope they fix that with the Riverlands. Oh and lastly, Benjen = Coldhands in the show, yeah. In the books, it's not true though. I remember reading about a book fan who went to some library in California and found a version of ADWD with notes from GRRM's editor where she asks "Is Coldhands Benjen?" and GRRM answers with a blunt "No" written to the side. Article here. Also was that the same actor for Edmure Tully? I genuinely did not recognise him.

Also, Samwell the son, blond hair, both Sam and Gilly looking pretty dark haired there, not suspicious? I confess I don't really know how these things work, but...

Also, Coldhands = Benjen is quite interesting. I'm beginning to wonder if GRRM wrote that "No" on his scripts just to screw everyone over... ![]()

I highly doubt that what happens in King's Landing will happen in the book. Margaery joining the High Sparrow, Jaime removed from the Kingsguard... nope. I think they are making the High Sparrow a much bigger player than he will really be in the books, but I might be wrong. I think the episode was fine, and even if the speech from Dany wasn't great, I can totally see this happening in the books when she is found at the end of ADWD
