All they have is that she was diagnosed with the wrong thing (obviously not dystonia). They didn't say what was wrong, nor that it was an actual hoax, they left that up to the individual to decide..... It seriously looks like her dopamine levels were way higher than they normally should be. That neurotransmitter being out of whack causes some crazy, hard to explain shit to happen. I'd know a bit about that..... I have tourettes. That is completely in my head, since I know that I can suppress my tics at will. But involuntary wierd movements still exist. My worst tic is where my eyes will literally roll sideways in my head, both rotate outwards (in opposite directions, the exact opposite of going cross-eyed). I've actually had photos taken of me where my eyes are completely white, because they've rolled like that. It stings like a bitch every time it happens. But the worst part is that if I prevent it from happening, it's similar to a mosquito bite - it's almost like it itches, and when I finally scratch it, it gives me some kind of release. Another tic is an "itch" at the back of my throat. It doesn't go away, ever. The only way to make it feel better temporarily is to clear my throat. The longer I hold it in, the worse feeling it gets, until it can feel like it's blocking my windpipe. It is completely in my head, but, nonetheless, I can't help but do it. Most people would never know that I have tourettes, however, because I've been lucky enough to have tics that are not that noticeable. And if you think that a doctor can't mis-diagnose someone - on my medical records I have type 1 diabetes. My blood sugar levels are completely stable, even with a piss-poor diet, and I've been off of any kind of insulin for years. It could have been completely in her head, yet she could do nothing about it. Making fun of someone for something like that, without knowing for sure that it is a fake, pisses me off. Of course, if she really did fake it, then yea, that video would totally be deserved.

Rather uncomfortable interview. I'll add a track just to not derail.

Recipe: - odd, bassless intro with some distorted sounds and a chilled, high-pitched melody. Repeat for about a minute. - Drop. Mostly comprised of the same slow heavy bass/loud snare pattern you'll hear in nearly every dubstep track, coupled with distorted "wobbly" saw-tooth/square synth in triplets pattern. Said synth alternating between triplets, "6-lets" and regular quarters/eigths, giving impression of intricate pattern (in dubstep's defense, it's probably the only form of electronic music I know that even features any n-tuplets) . About 2-4 repetitions of this, back to bit more energetic version of the intro. - Repeat. - A youtube comment chain consisting mostly of remarks how hard someone came to the drop, how 'filthy' the song in question is and how everyone should listen to dubstep if they are at all sane. See most of the songs posted in this thread for examples. It can be nice, but for me, only a few select artists/songs stand out as deviating from the standard pattern. It could be the typically slow pace of dubstep makes everything seem more similar. For the record, my girlfriend's stepdad is a major dubstep producer in the Netherlands, and I generally appreciate what he's doing. It's not that I have anything against dubstep as a genre, I have a gripe with the similarity of most dubstep. The Blue Foundation track on the first page of this thread is an example of how it can be done. Conversely, the Nit-Grit song linked in the OP is the exact embodiment of my recipe. I guess what I'm saying is I'd like dubstep artists to diversify their sound a bit instead of trying very hard to all sound like each other/as dirty as possible. Nailed every gripe I have with dubstep today. I'm so sick of being interrupted during a convo about neurofunk / IDM at parties by some trendy hipster fuck who, as soon as he/she discovers we're discussing electronic music yells 'OMG do U LIKE DUBSTEP? HAEV U HERD OF SKRILLEX??' PROG / JAZZ SNOBBERY: I wouldn't classify 16th note triplets as n-tuplets, as they're only double-time 8th note triplets - n-tuplets are any non-conventional 'tuplet' that doesn't conform to a 3:2 ratio.

Most of the samples and wobbles are just simply fucking annoying to listen to. Whats wrong with chilling out instead of making a song sound like you're chainsawing your own limbs off? Listen to some 2562 or ikonika and let dubstep relax you for a change. All personal opinion ofcourse, but it seems like 99% of whats being posted here is mainstream filth & remixes by the likes of nero. Stuff 16yo kiddies like to dance wildly to. Honestly, I listened to similar tunes for a while, but you WILL see that WOBWOBWOB will bore and annoy the fuck out of you in no time, there's far more interesting stuff out there than borgore, skrillex, doctor p, etc!

So your basically saying you dont like dubstep because you think it all sounds the same ? thats like saying all asians look the same. Maybe you need to be more open-minded.
